I haven't used one personally but a buddy uses a similar one for his show car. For a daily driver, especially here in Cali where a front plate is required, the factory bracket is fine for me.

In CA front plate required but a lot of cars don't have one for some reason I never had one for 10+ years

Don't jinx yourself! Here in the Bay Area, I've been pulled over so many times for no front plate that I finally said screw it and left it on haha

Dang... I guess BayArea is being more restricted then Sacramento area.

The purpose is satisfy WA state law that requires a front plate and to not have to put holes in the front fascia.

And, I also think it looks better low than stuck on the cross piece up high.
