Thinking of Wrapping...
So the paint my Lexus is pretty bad from car washes and just daily driving. I tried to personally hand wax the car and such but still not as great from day 1. I think I might have it professionally hand waxed and wrapped. I was thinking maybe Satin Black?? I have OB now but I have gloss black wheels/emblems... think it will look good. Any other members have their GS wrapped?!?!

Just had mine wrapped here in NC. It's a new 2016 GS and I went with Xpel. I had the full hood, fenders, bumper, headlamps, door sills, door cups and mirrors wrapped. I wanted to preserve the pristine front of the car if possible since it's new and unblemished. A colleague here had has Audi wrapped 3 years ago and it's done well and no chips, etc. He had the same thing done to his as I had done to mine. I had this in a recent tread with subject "Xpel".

So how much did it cost to do the whole front end?

If you are intent on wrapping your car, there's no need to get it professionally waxed; it's pointless and a waste of money. The wrapper is using adhesives to adhere the vinyl to the car. Prepping it for wrapping would require stripping all the wax off.

That was one the reason the sold the OB FSports even though when I see one on the roads I miss it but too many paint imperfections were too visible. Anyways as someone mentioned you need paint correction and it'll make the paint looking new again if done correctly. Do us know which route you decided to go with the pictures obviously.

Don't wrap. It's very expensive to do and it is inevitably going to start failing from UV exposure and natural elements. Contrary to what people say, once it fails your paint underneath is probably going to be damaged from the removal process. To get dried adhesive off your clear coat is going to cause damage and you will need paint correction or a re-paint done. Also, i think that many installers cause surface damage from cutting the edges. Its hidden until you need removal work done.
You should take your car to a real detailer and have paint correction done. I imagine it might cost 500-1000, but the paint will look damn good. If you dont want to spend that much a good detailer will still get out most of the scratches with not too much effort. The more you pay, the more perfect it will be. No more automatic car washes! Hand wash the proper way with buckets or use touchless car washes only.
