Finally got this thing working. Long story short, found out my phone (galaxy S7 Edge) doesn't allow for a hard wire HDMI out (called MHL connection). So as I was contemplating sending back everything I already purchased, I came across a screen mirroring device. Went to bust buy, bought it, plugged it into my HDMI to AV converter and BAM. Here's list of all materials that I used and it works well. I'll also post this is the other forum I've been posting in, believe its a forum titled "screen mirroring issues"
Thanks to everyone who assisted me. I installed my Beat Sonic Navi bypass previously (which I highly recommend) so I am good to go. Just have to remember to look up every once and a while
Awesome GSBLKBLK! Glad you got it working. Thank you for listing out all the products that worked for you as well.
I was PMing badbwoy007 about this wireless setup as well. I had even mentioned that exact same screen cast drive
One question for you since you have this working wirelessly. Do you notice any lag/skips/sync issues? Also, I know you have a 2013 GS, is there any way to expand the AV input to be full screen or does it stay in the 8 inch window on the left? I think only the 2015 GS and newer can utilize the entire 12 inch display.

I have a 2016 GS and have been trying to figure out how to get the A/V line on full screen. The nav can be set to full screen so why not any other inputs.

Another question, does anyone know if the screen cast thing will work with apple products?

I have a 2015 GS, but I don't know about fill screen other than the size of the navigation.
I have noticed some lag. Going to try to buy a better mirroring device. I saw a Belkin for $20 more on amazon and there's also Net Gear?? I think for almost $100. If it's the same type of Lag I'll just cut my losses and deal with one of them. My phone doesn't allow for an hdmi output. So it has to be wireless casting
Check out those pictures from "gennacide" and "BobcatPiza." Those screenshots captured just seems bigger to me than the traditional 8 inch square that I see when I play a DVD in my 2013 GS.
You guys are both lucky though, because I know that on my 13 GS, I will for sure to be limited to use the 8-inch square on the left of the entire 12.3" inch navigation. Maybe you guys have a way to expand the picture (not sure if it's an option though)
Anyway, from my research, it seemed like the "ScreenBeam Mini2" wireless device was supposed to be the best. I'm not sure if you will find a better unit to eliminate the lag, but definitely keep us posted if you do.
I don't think the wireless screen cast devices work with Apple products badbwoy007, sorry.

I believe their shots are from the screen in the IS.
I've been trying to do this screen mirroring on my '13 GS and it does not work because the 3.5mm input does not support video. The only way the '13 can get an A/V input is by a cable that needs to be directly inputted in the back of the head unit.

What kind of 3.5mm jack are you using. I know another member got his working and he has a '13 GS.

I purchased the Zune that was mentioned in this thread. I got it last night and it only shows connected as AUX on the screen. I looked in the '13 manual and no where does it have the 4 pole diagram of the 3.5mm jack.

Use your button selection to push on AUX so it says EXTERNAL on the left side screen.
No joy on putting the selector over "AUX" when its chosen on the left side of the screen. I would love to hear back from anyone with a '13 ML that has this done with the 3.5mm jack.

Strange. I took some shots to show what it looks like. All I did was plug in the cable by itself for these shots.
On the left side I went to media then selected AUX.
The first shot below shows what comes up. Then I highlighted and selected EXTERNAL. The second pic shows the next view that allows you to expand the screen.

The '13 has a different head unit than the '15.
Here's a pic of mine using the beat sonic cable directly plugged in the head unit.
