Btw, what I meant by "bigger" picture:

Check out those pictures from "gennacide" and "BobcatPiza." Those screenshots captured just seems bigger to me than the traditional 8 inch square that I see when I play a DVD in my 2013 GS.

You guys are both lucky though, because I know that on my 13 GS, I will for sure to be limited to use the 8-inch square on the left of the entire 12.3" inch navigation. Maybe you guys have a way to expand the picture (not sure if it's an option though)

Anyway, from my research, it seemed like the "ScreenBeam Mini2" wireless device was supposed to be the best. I'm not sure if you will find a better unit to eliminate the lag, but definitely keep us posted if you do.

I don't think the wireless screen cast devices work with Apple products badbwoy007, sorry.

Hey Im2bz2p345!

Don't you have a 13 GS. Need a little insight here on the last couple of posts.

Does your AUX plug in the center console work to play regular audio off of a 3.5mm cord?

Yes it does. When it is on the AUX selected and I use the Zune cord I got yesterday, I get audio but no video. It just says connected with no video display. I tried a regular 3.5mm for audio and it works as well.

Did you install your Beat-Sonic module?

I have a nav bypass from Vaistech installed. I tried the 3.5mm before I installed the Vaistech module and it was the same result. The only way I could get the AUX to change to A/V is with this beat sonic cable (http://www.beatsonicusa.com/stereo/c...xus/avc38.html)

From the Beat-Sonic description it says "New Video-Input option function will replace AUX Input on the OEM monitor."

Since I don't have a 13 GS, we will just have to wait for someone to chime in that has one.

I would think that the head unit in its original state should be able to use the AUX port to display video but I guess we will find out one way or the other.

I may need to go find a used 13 GS at a dealer to test this thing out for myself.

Unfortunately, I never progressed on purchasing the cables and equipment to make a wireless mirror from my phone, so I can't add any input.

I was under the assumption that it was going to work on the 2013 GS, so I'm glad r3dl4b3l chimed in!

It works, just not through the 3.5mm jack for A/V. I hooked up my chromecast to it and it works casting from the iphone. Will need to get an apple HDMI adapter now to mirror now. I wonder how the radio shack passive converter is compared to the active white box ones. I get a little static with the box i have when theres nothing playing with the volume turned up to 40.

So you're saying, for the 2013 GS, you can only get this to work by purchasing the Beat-Sonic AVC38 Audio Video RCA Input Cable Harness (for $73!) and connecting it directly to the back of the stereo unit [after pulling it out of the car] as shown in this video (fast-forward to 3:10 mark):

Then using a cable to connect from your phone to the composite connections (red, white, yellow) on the Beat-Sonic cable OR by using a wireless display adapter?

If that's the case, I'll probably pass on this mod.

Depending on what you are mirroring/casting.

My set up is this:
Head Unit -> Beat Sonic Cable AVC38 -> HDMI to Composite Converter (Radio Shack or the white/black box) -> Source that is HDMI (Chromecast/Roku Stick/Wireless Display Adapter/Apple Lightning AV Cable)

Essential you are forgoing the 3.5mm cable for A/V for the Beat Sonic Cable AVC38 because the 3.5mm input in the '13 does not support the 4 pole A/V cable. Everything else remains the same.

In all I probably spent less than $100 excluding the source and excluding all the 3.5mm cables I tried.

$66 Beat Sonic Cable
$15 HDMI Composite Converter
$5 RCA Composite Cable (I threw all mine away so I picked one up at the dollar store)
$86 Total

If you want the wireless display (Android) you'll need to purchase that or Apple Lightning AV Cable (iPhone/iPad).

Here's list of all materials that I used and it works well. I'll also post this is the other forum I've been posting in, believe its a forum titled "screen mirroring issues"

HDMI to AV Converter:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

A/V Output Cables (that actually work with Lexus, no coupler needed, matching the colors up white with white, red with red, yellow with yellow)
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Wireless Screen Casting Device:
https://www.amazon.com/Actiontec-Scr...ywords=PTV3000

Thanks to everyone who assisted me. I installed my Beat Sonic Navi bypass previously (which I highly recommend) so I am good to go. Just have to remember to look up every once and a while
I have a 2013 GS with 12.3 nav screen.

Does this setup make sense?

Head Unit -> Beat Sonic Cable AVC38 -> HDMI to AV Converter -> Actiontec ScreenBeam Mini2 HDMI ( Wireless Screen Casting Device)

Screen casting device:
Amazon Amazon

HDMI to AV Converter:
Amazon Amazon

Seems like what you have listed should work.

The AV to HDMI converters seemed to have been hit or miss.

The one I got from Amazon I ended up returning. Quality wasn't that great.

Which HDMI to AV Converter did you end up using?
