Default Screen Mirroring Issue!!!

Screen Mirroring Issue!!!-20160726_171558.jpgNew to forum as a member, always come on here and check out everyone's ideas,, but I figured I would join to see if some tech savvy guys can assist me. I already have the beatsonic navi bypass (installed myself, buy it if you don't already have it, awesome invention), after seeing the video titled: Lexus CY13 Multimedia System - A/V Input, (
) I bought everything mentioned in the video. I set it up the same way as the guy in the video, and I got nothing. Blurry vertical lines, fading in and out, a humming sound if I connect the red, yellow, and white wires correctly. I have tried to swap the wires every which way, and double checked all the connections to make sure they're tight. See attached pictures below, what my connection looks like and what my screen shows. Am I doing something wrong, or is this just not possible and the video is not true???

Looking to double check with all you guys before I send the equipment back to amazon. Also heres a pic of my 15' Black GS350 with DIY blue calipers, 5% tints and powder coated black wheels

Does your RCA 3.5mm cable have the correct grounding, video and audio? When I researched this, it looked to be pretty important that the plug is configured a certain way.

Don't know what you mean by correct grounding... Heres the exact one I bought:

Potentially, but you also may need that coupler that they're talking about. The poles of the A/V plug may not be in the right order. That's the trial and error part of this, you just have to keep plugging the yellow, red, white plugs into the coupler until you get it to work.

My HDMI to AV has Female AV output. So should I buy a Male to Female coupler?? Not looking to hook it up to a DVD player or anything, the coupler I see people posting in that forum looks like a Female to Female

Since you are plugging directly into the adapter like I also plan to do, you won't need the coupler. The coupler is only needed to connect two male ends together.

Here is a good reference for those who want to know why a coupler is needed in some cases - there is no universal standard for the pinout assignment. This picture only shows some of the "standards".Attached Thumbnails

Lexus A/V plug is expecting a certain layout. That layout may not be what your plug is sending...thus the need to convert it appropriately via the coupler.

I imagine this modification kills your warranty, correct?

Shouldn't. Anything that needs to be done can be done without cutting/splicing vehicle wiring.

No. These are all external components and one wire that plugs into a 3.5mm jack.

Even if you install the bypass, warranty should still be good.

I got my new cables and theres a huge difference. When you line up the yellow red and white correctly I get a solid picture of a rainbow saying no signal. Not a choppy static screen like last time. Problem is,,, there's no signal.

Either my MicroUSB to HDMI cord sucks, or my converter sucks. When I unplug my converter the screen turns from no signal to black. So that tells me maybe its working??? What HDMI to MicroUSB cord do you recommend that will work ? See attached pictures, the difference between using my original cables that obviously didn't have the correct pinout alignment, and the new one. I'm so close to making this work
