Don't trust them but would be fun because they have a policy where if they **** bad enough they replace the whole motor.

Back when me and the ex were together we'd take her M37x to jiffy lube because her brother was the manager. Apparently they didnt tighten the drain plug enough because under hard throttle that thing went flying and dumped oil everywhere.

I wouldn't go there even if the oil change was free.

Tracking down a rattle in the rear, passenger side.

This doesn't look right:

Took a while to figure out what it even is.

I wonder how it got so broken: it's up high, recessed.
Must have been a stick or something that got tossed up in there hard.

I replaced the broken cover from two posts above.
Also treated the rusty screw heads to some phosphoric acid.

Old vs 'New'
Attachment 488747

'New'
Attachment 488748

Still not sure what broke the original part, but what a load off my mind.

I had these on my IS and when I traded for the GS, the GS didn't have 'em. It was my first time installing anything like this and it was easier than i thought. It cost me around $250 and installed it myself (dealership wanted almost as much to install them).

You can get them from OEM dealers via eBay for a good price: https://www.ebay.com/itm/LEXUS-OEM-F...F/332601580386

This was the cheapest place I could find with shipping use code FALL19 for a discount on shipping. Install is very easy, I followed another thread on here and takes about 15 mins per side for the front. The backs are 1 min per side

I got my sills on ebay too. Silly cosmetic upgrade, but I really like the glow when I open my door.
