It’s based on a state determined value of the car so it does go down each year, but not by much. Should be around $650 next year. Last year was well over $700.

Hey JDR, was there any damage to the paint itself? Let us know how it turns out.

There was some paint transfer and minor scuffing, but I was able to buff that part out, thankfully.

Did quite a bit.
  • Cleaned out my trunk (and in doing so, found the paperwork for when I got my windows tinted. This whole time I thought I had 20% tint all-around. Turns out I have 15% lol)
  • Checked and adjusted my tire pressure
  • Washed it
  • Waxed it
Feels good

Have fun Chinee! I wish we had the weather here to detail, snow everywhere. If your polish doesn't splatter you can just open your sunroof and buff the edges to save ya some tape time. Then just close it after finishing the edges. Post pics. when done. Are ya gonna ceramic coat it afterwards?

I have considered ceramic coating in the past but my current regimen works so well that I’ve been able to resist the temptation of Ceramic products.

The Sonax Polymer Net Shield (PNS) is a really top notch paint/sealant that just works really well for me. I top it with Sonax Brilliant Shine Detailer (BSD) every other wash, and the hydrophobicity is the very best I’ve ever experienced.

My paint still shines and the Liq Plat does a good job of hiding any imperfections. It’s been 16 months since my last paint correction and visually, I don’t really need to do it again. But there’s a little voice In my head telling me “Protect the paint, protect the paint!”, so here I go...

Washed last weekend and it sat in the garage all week. Just got through the polishing this morning, and will seal the paint with the PNS when I get home this afternoon.

Cheers!

LOL! Not sure I can handle a second GS. I'm getting to the point where I had to break up my detail into 3 parts, wash and decontaminate last weekend, paint correction this morning, and finally sealing this afternoon.
