Fixed an elusive rattle caused by two missing clips on the bottom of the passenger side rear bumper. Caused the fake tailpipe tip to rattle against the surround.
Gotcha...Did you need to drill holes to get them to mount correctly?
I just received these splash guards and there are no directions and it does look like the rear ones need to have two holes made for each one. Curious to see how Patrick4GS installed theirs. They are OEM and the color is a match.
The front was a straight bolt on affair. There were slightly longer screws/clips provided with the kit so no hardware was reused. I did change out the plastic clip on the very bottom mount in the front. They felt a little tight with the added thickness of the mud guard.
The rears use a pre existing bolt on the bottom, again new hardware is provided. The other 4 screws (2 per side) need to be drilled in. They do provide threaded c-clips to run with the new holes. Sorry I am not sure of the actual name of those c-clips.
I thoroughly cleaned before install, including a clay bar and wax since this area will be covered indefinitely and I want it to stay protected.

This is great info and makes sense, thank you! Clay bar and cleaning the area is a good idea as the edge of each mud guard has an adhesive tape which when exposed will adhere to the outer part of the fender, you want that surface as clean as possible.
For the clip on nut for the rears, did you use the smaller screws? Where did you use the two longer bolts supplied?
I plan on installing these this weekend and will post pics when done.
Hooked her up to a smart charger to top up the battery. Continued use of heated seat/steering/defoggers in this cold weather took the battery down to 12.2V. Now back to to 12.8V.

Please post plenty of pics when you are done installing the mud guards. How much did you pay for them btw? Link? Thanks.
Just got mine back from the dealer yesterday. Was so happy to get back in my 16 GS vs the RX loaner I had for a couple of days. Really made me realize how much I prefer to be lower to the ground. Anyways, took it in for 5k service in which they replaced my rear spoiler and updated the NAV system because I was driving and all of a sudden and orange screen flashed and then it blacked out and shut off for maybe 4-5 minutes before coming back online. Dealer is aware of the issue in case any others experience this issue, a simple update should remedy the issue. So I'm back in action with a cleaner car than when I brought it in but nothing compares to a meticulous hand wash! Can't wait to get it truly sparkling again with a nice fresh clean interior.
After work, got it washed for the first time in maybe a week, since its been raining tons. Feels good to have a clean car again. Also applied some tire shine and used Armor All Brake Dust Repellent on the wheels for the first time. Will be interesting to see if works to help my front rims clean. I usually wash my car during the weekend and need to wipe the brake dust of the rims Wednesday evening due to build up. Check out a thread about the Armor All product in the RC F area:

So there's no way to get OEM fitted/painted mud flaps for less than $350 (that includes shipping)? Dang it...I really want them but don't feel like dropping that king of money on them.
