Went to go check out the bioluminescent plankton at the beach since it's only a couple minute drive and when I got back to my GS afterwards, I found it parked next to another GS that I had seen earlier driving around looking for parking. The beach was pretty packed. A lot of people came to check out the plankton and all of it was so freaking cool. I've never seen anything like it before in real life. It was pretty magical.
Here are the GS'. Hard to see the other GS because the color is pretty dark.
Here's just some of the large crowd that came out.
Here's the water in action. Super hard to capture on an iPhone. Really needs to be seen in person to appreciate it.
Bonus GS pics from the end of the night
I also used my friend's carpet cleaner/extractor on my floor-mats and they look pretty damn good. The "LEXUS GS" text is now bright white again. It was black before. I forgot it was there lol. Then I adjusted my headlight height and they're so much better at night now. They were aimed way too low before. Lastly, I put my sound generator back on & removed the carbon fiber Lexus badge insert on my trunk lid.
Got my rain visors in today, so i put them on and put some scrap pieces of 3M 1080 black over the chrome. Messed up a few spots so need to order more to redo it all and I can fix some other spots on the car.

Bought the GS a playmate as well about a month ago and just got the wheels back after a fresh coat of powder and mounted the new 265/70/18 Falken Wildpeaks. Got the GS for the week and GX ready to go for the weekends. Should be a good combo for years to come.

Nice GX - i've always felt the GX was exactly the right "playmate" for the GS considering its body on frame and capability. The GS is a great sport sedan; the GX is a great off-roader and hauler but still comfy for those long weekends camping or doing the outdoorsy stuff.

Looking sick! How do you like those well visors? Been debating on getting them as well. Can’t justify spending almost 400 for the oem ones
those door actuators are so weak all across the lexus board....i've had all of mine replaced...bad design...
Yea, and I wasn't too thrilled when the Lexus dealer quoted me $810 (parts and labor) to repair it. So I went the refurbished OEM route for $75 and had the same shop that installed my lowering springs install the new actuator for $100 in labor. Not too shabby in savings.

Man that fitment on the Wells Visors, just a quarter inch too short on the front door.

So backing up a little, the reason I got these was so i could crack my windows on a nice day and not have the sun coming in and would still look like my windows were up. Like most say, its stupid they come up short on the front trim, but that wasn't a huge deal since i knew it before hand. These were $72 to my door so if i didn't like them I wasn't going to be to upset and could probably resell them. So for install, its super easy, take a few minutes to do all of them. So i didn't get to test them out really till yesterday (not driving much during the lock down deal) but with the windows up its not noticeable on an audible level, just visually it keeps catching my eye till i get used to it. Once i cracked my windows though there is a definite wind nose that wasn't there before I had them. It is a bit annoying, but also the little i drive with them cracked wont be much of a bother and the stereo can go up a few clicks to drown it out. Not sure how the OEMs compare to fit, finish, and noise, but i can image they are a whole lot different than these and would recommend as long as you know what your getting into.
