I gave it a much deserved bath and did a few things for daily purposes

Applied water/dirt repellent to the cargo area and put in the two nets

Chemical guys interior protectant after a Lexol treatment

Flopped in my rear passenger blankets

Put in my neck rests and wireless charger on the arm rest

Admired the new tint - Xpel Prime at 20%

New phone holder and red start button

Rubber license plate mat to eliminate vibration and a stealthy looking Lexus plate frame

Looks pretty decent

Tint works rather well to complete a dark look

Decided a set of red valve stem caps look pretty cool

Bought some inexpensive hinge covers for front and rear

When both doors are open you don't see those hinge arms. Not sure why Lexus didn't do this in the first place

Did some additional water and dirt repellent on the 3-D mats I got for front and rear

Looking through the 20% doesn't show a huge contrast but it is noticeable when you are inside with the doors closed

From the outside the tint provides a nice shading effect

And one more pic from the rear for measure

What are the two nets in your trunk? I think my 18 only has one.

Cargo hold down net. A big square flat one. It is what the two forward stainless tie down hooks are for in your trunk. It fastens to those and the ones by the tail lights

It is called a "floor style"

Default Another Wash / Change the Mats

She got another wash.....

Interestingly, I actually saw/could tell the difference between two power washers with very similar PSI but one had a higher GPM. My power washer was just coming up on a year old and I think the water flow switch failed. Mine is a 2030psi with a 1.76gpm flow. I borrowed one from a neighbor - it was pretty much new. It was 2000psi (with 100+ boost? whatever that means). This one only had 1.25gpm. While I liked how the lower flow seemed to make slightly foamier suds with the foam canon I found it more difficult to wet and rinse the car. I kept feeling like I was having to be extra careful to not get too close with the end of the pressure washer gun. Mine's being replaced under warranty and I can't wait to get the replacement.

I also have to admit - one feature I really wish the foam canon had was the ability to orient the foam spray (a more horizontal spray vs the vertical spray). I know there was at least one that had that feature on the link to foam canon reviews someone sent. So folks thinking about foam canons - take that into account. The vertical is great for the sides of the car but a horizontal seem better in my opinion on the roof, hood, and trunk.

I also swapped out the mats from the all weather to the carpeted. Rain should mostly be over until mid to late October.

Since this Covid thing started in mid-March, I haven't washed my GS, which used to be an almost weekly routine for me. But I've not used the GS much in that time either, a total of ~600 miles over 3 weeks of driving in the last 4 months. Your type of post makes me realize that I'm missing the detailing, taking a less-than-clean car and making it look new again.

But I gotta ask... what's the deal with the hinge covers, never heard of them before... gonna run down to the garage after I post this to open my doors and look at the hinges...

LOL. I didn't know about them either but picked up on them when I was cruising the GX sub forum here when I had mine. They were for the "refrigerator door" hinges on the back but soon found the occupant doors were an option as well. I thought they provided a more finished appearance and since they were like $5 on eBay I wasn't losing much if they didn't work out

LOL I had to go do look too. I agree, they definitely do provide a nice, more finished look.

Do they clip on somehow or do they have some sort of adhesive? Are they removable should you ever need to get in there? I think you just started the newest mod trend!

They just pop on and you can pop them off as needed

I just checked. They were from Amazon not eBay. "Door stop covers". Our car isn't on the list but it fits a Toyota hinge as you can see from my pics

Amazon Amazon

Question Lowering Springs

Hello, I have a 2013 GS350 F sport, I'd like to explore lowering springs option that is close to OEM ride quality, comfort wise. What are your suggestions? Thx.

Are yours black or silver? They look silver, which would match with my Liq Plat. Low risk, just $10.

They are black plastic. You could easily paint them. They don't flex much when putting them on

Im running swift sport springs. Drops car less than an inch overall providing right amount of clearance(IMO) for my lip kit. Rides very close to OE

Depends on the amount of drop you're looking for. I went with a subtle drop in swift springs and is perfect.

Other popular ones are:
RSR Down
RSR Superdown
Tanabe

Thanks for the updated info...I had looked on eBay and wasn't finding things. I think I may just have to get these! LOL.
