I'll be looking at some new wheels next month. Still torn on 19's or 20's.
Since I had to put the front plate on. I got something for the front and rear

Updated my dashcam to a 4k version. Also waiting for my R7 to come in so I can replace my Redline. My MKVII Gti is in the far right of this photo.

Had to buy an adapter and new SD card

She got a very quick bath today with her new microfiber mitt. It wasn't planned but last night I was at a client's downtown later than planned. Downtown has an extremely large murder of crows and well.......she was literally covered in $#!%. Like seriously.... covered.... On the way home I ran her through the touchless once...still a few spots...went through a second time...still a couple spots. It was literally on the car for maybe two, maybe three hours max....

I'll admit - it was a pretty quick wash today - it was only in the upper 30's and drizzling off and on. Luckily it started raining pretty good after the wash so there was no drying necessary.
Note to self:....next time fill up the bucket inside with warm water!

And this is exactly why I decided to go Atomic Silver....Originally I had been looking at Nebula Gray Pearl but in the winter that color looks pretty blah here in the PNW. The Atomic Silver really pics up the light and looks good with it's gray and cold.

Thanks Ironman50 ! I have to admit, I can't take complete credit for how good she looks since I'm her second owner and I haven't even had her a year! Luckily I think her previous owner took good care of her too.

There was a partial front PPF when I got her which I had removed and replaced with a full front Expel PPF (thanks to recommendations from folks in this forum) so that also helps keep her looking good The PPF made me less worried about the hood and fenders but there was bird poop all over the roof, the trunk, the sides....it was crazy.

My Christmas and Birthday (December 26th) present to my self..Installed JL Audio JD500/1 mono amp and a JL CS212LG-TW1 box which has 2 TW1 12" in the sealed box. Sounds amazing and hits clean and hard. does not take up much space as the box is only 9" deep. The grills got a little dented during shipment so they knocked a couple $$ off the price. Next on the list is carbon fiber side skirts to complement my front lip.

Nice! What other components/accessories were used for the install? I want a sub as well, and like going the DIY route. Did you use a shop for the install? Can you share the price of the total install?

Santa brought me an 85" TV and soundbar but I might have preferred a subwoofer install in the GS....

Boca Tint and Audio did the install. The used 4 Gauge wiring kit, JL Loc22 and JL RBC1 Remote Bass control. Total install with components was $1250

Wife was driving my car yesterday and hit a can of white paint on the freeway on the front right side, splattered a bit down the side of the car. Spent a few hours cleaning that crap up today with a power washer and fine cut cleaner. First time using the 0 degree nozzle on the car's paint haha. I kept thinking I was done, then I'd find more white spots on the left side of the car here and there. It's still all over the tire and the inside of the front wheel well but close enough. 2020 had to slide one more f-up in before the new year.

Clear coat can be pretty forgiving... use a plastic putty knife and gently scrape the paint off the surface. Should leave minimal marks, and those will be easily buffed out. Good luck!

I'd try to find a solvent that would remove that, used that in the past to remove spray paint off a car.. i know it's different but gotta be a neutralizer to that road paint.

Yeah I ended up using paint clay, old credit cards, fine cut cleaner, and the power washer. Most of the front end has protective film anyway so I'm not too annoyed, I'll probably replace the ones that tore at some point. The spots down the side cleaned up well with the fine cut cleaner.
