Whoa... that lobby is empty... they normally have 2 or 3 LS 500s on that side of the dealership.

Noticed that my clock is not working on my '13 GS350 AWD - it is always an hour too fast after about a 12hr period. Ordered a new one from mylparts.com with code discount code CL5 (part#83910-30622).

Also discovered that I have a leak coming from the sunroof. I changed the weatherstrip/rubber seal about 4years ago to fix the excessive wind noise with the sunroof interior shade open. Never had any leaks until now.

I took a bucket and started pouring a small amount of water with the sunroof full closed. I opened the sunroof fully and noticed that it accumulated in the corner of the driver side (passenger side is dry):

Unfortunately, I'm seeing that accumulated water soaking the interior on the driver side pillar near the curtain airbag:

I just ordered a replacement seal (#63251-30100) from mylparts.com. I hope its the seal and not anything else because I hate going to the dealer for these knick-knack things where they nickel/dime you.
I guess when it rains it pours!

* Hand wash/dry
* Quick wipe down of the engine bay
* Quick wipe down of the interior
* Swapped out my all weather liners for the carpeted mats for summer
* Cleaned up the all weather liners to put away until the wet weather returns.....

Hey AJLex19 - you might try checking the sunroof drains. I have to admit I don't know a lot about where these are but had an issue on my Subaru where I ended up with about an inch of water down on the floorboard after a major rain storm because they got clogged. Sometime little creatures build webs, etc... in there.

EDIT:

Found this video about drains - this isn't a GS but it should still give you an idea where to look. Water will often get in these places even with a decent seal, the goal is to get it out before it backups up enough to get into the ceiling of the car and over to the area you're seeing it. As he mentions, be careful blowing in the drain or pushing anything into it - the last thing you want to do is blow/push the tube off the drain.

@LexusGSboy thanks for the suggestion! I just went back out and checked..sure enough the driver side drain hole in the corner was clogged up with dirt. I took a flashlight and saw it more clearly this time around...next, used a thin wire and some water and got in there more thoroughly - a bunch of dried up dirt/grime and some dust/small debris came out. Retested and no leaks!

Appreciate the quick feedback and awesome suggestion! Two thumbs up!! THANK YOU!!

Lots of times they blow those drains out with Compressed air. But low pressure so the hose does not come disconnected down bottom.

Its a good idea to blow them out to keep them clean every now and then.

After seeing everyone buying Borla Exhausts, I purchased mine Friday. I'm waiting for it to ship. I've been anxious about this and held off over a month but I've seen so many people get one I had to pull the trigger.

That looks like the classic clogged sunroof drain.

Interestingly, this is the first car i've owned that suffered from a clogged sunroof drain hole which led to water seeping into the interior liner.

I have been using the sunroof and opening it regularly over the course of the last few years - there was lots of dirt mixed with water in the driver-side corner that accumulated and blocked the hole almost like a nasty, black paste. I checked the other corner on the passenger side and the drain hole and surrounding area was unobstructed. I'm guessing it took all these years to accumulate enough to cause a problem!

This coming weekend, i'll likely open the sunroof fully and give it a more thorough cleaning in the areas around the edges, drain holes and weatherstrip.

A little project I've been working on to keep my GS clean. All I have to do is turn the water on and hit the power switch and I can wash away. It'll be much less hassle than driving to the car wash every time.

I replaced the batteries in both Smart Keys. Cleaned the interior of one remote.

Last year, shortly after I bought the car, I ran the key through the laundry. It worked fine afterward. No harm done.

But when I opened the other key, the interior was filthy with seven years of dirt. Maybe the laundry did some good!

Well what do you know... I just bought out my lease today, 3 months early. Couldn't walk away from my "deal"... 2018 with less than 22K on the clock, $30K out the door. And I didn't get hit with any junk dealer fees that other Florida dealers like to charge on lease buyouts.

Damn, that’s a great deal.
