I wonder what you would get for it...that well equipped with super low miles. Looking good!
The local Infiniti dealer offered me $43k. I haven’t shopped around elsewhere to see how much better I could get. I had given myself until September to decide about selling it, but I just can’t let this car go.
What's up with all the dust? Youneed to fire your current detailer!
Was it really 65 degrees yesterday? We've been battling with some killer-heat in Florida these last 2 weeks.
Ha! You caught me! I snapped a few of the photos before the dusting and cleaning the windows.
As to the weather, it’s pretty mild this week. About 90 last week, but yesterday’s high was 74. It was 65 in the evening when I was out working on the car.
New OEM rotors and the high end Akebono brake pads on the front. Was finally getting some squealing from the old pads, they just made it through inspection a few months ago. Not such a bad process after you’ve done it a few times! Nice humid day for it, gotta love it.
Changed all front struts and rear shocks on my 2013 F sport. The front drivers side was leaking and was shot. At 90k, figured I’d change all 4 corners.
I did the work myself, took me about 4 hours. Went to a buddy’s shop as he had the wall mounted spring compressor which made the fronts a breeze to swap the struts.
Ordered the parts from Rock Auto. Well worth it. Car rides really nice so far.
Got new tires this morning, Michelin Pilot Sport AS4 245/40/19 & 275/35/19, the AS3+ I had previously lasted me 29k. Have to say you get so used to road noise as tires wear and it just becomes normal.. then you get new tires and quite as hell and think to yourself how did I deal with this noise before. Got them from Discount Tire I was in and out in 35 mins gotta love DT..
I like your wheel set up and fitment. What part of FL are you at?
Gave the GS a much needed wash this weekend, finished up with a fresh coat of my favorite detailer, Sonax Brilliant Shine Detailer. Quick shot leaving work today (admittedly not a great angle).
AC was not working on '13 GS350. Figured I had the infamous Servo Motor issue but took it in to the dealer for my normal oil change and they identified the AC issue as a leaking condenser. They also said they would need to replace the high side line. So $1000 in parts and $1200 in labor. I know I could have gotten it done outside for maybe $1200 but reluctantly decided to go forward with the fix since the temps in the NYC area started hitting 90+, the lack of AC was unbearable and some of the local guys I know are out of town.
They took off $250 after I complained about the high pricing but basically was out the door for just under $2,000 for the fix. Most expensive fix to date on my 4GS - previously had an AC issue 2yrs ago which turned out to be a bad O-Ring and that was around $500 to fix.
I ended up in a 2023 Caviar/Flaxen NX350 AWD loaner w/2000mi on the odometer over the weekend - it drove well, fairly refined and definitely similar to an Audi A3 I rented while away a few weeks ago. The engine had a bit of turbo lag but overall decent:
I also noticed my dealership with an old marketing tactic of charging a higher price on the parts up front and then discounting them later to make the customer feel like they are getting "a deal" on some final % off. If it wasn't so brutally hot and unbearable to drive around, I probably would have waited and done this in a few weeks but a car without AC in the summertime is pretty awful!
I got this front lip from ebay for around $100. It's not real carbon fiber but just a "carbon fiber look". Probably going to update it in the near future with the Lexon style lip that looks more "OEM"
