Hi gang,

Wanted to share my newest mod: Lexon Style front lip/splitter from ebay
Fitment is perfect, finish is beautiful, very pleased with it overall.

They were inadvertently turned off. Was working on installing remote start and had the console open. Bunch of tools and junk sitting on there must have turned it off

At least you missed it and it's still there to prevent another incident.

How's the install? Reuses existing bolts or you have to drill new holes?

Cleaned the Interior very well. Tree leaves are getting on my nerves.

Four of the bolts lined up, the two on the sides and two in the center. I drilled 2 additional holes for a more secure fitment.

I drove it into downtown with my son (8 years old) to go to the Seattle International Auto Show. What fun! We spent some good time looking at all of the great, new choices out there. We sat in more cars than we could count. Lexus had a reasonable display, but with some obvious omissions (no UX, no RC, no GX). They did have the new TX, and a gorgeous LC500 convertible. They had both sedans - ES and an LS.

When we got back into my GS to drive home, it just felt so good. Styling direction has changed enough so that the interior is feeling dated from what we had just seen at the auto show, but man, the GS got so much right. I love this car. I need to drive and appreciate it more.

When do I get to move in @bclexus ?

It probably won't be finished until Summer/Fall of 2025.

There's lots of special designed steel that still needs to be designed and fabricated and more H-Beams installed for load bearing of long spans. There's 225k custom oversized bricks made in England to be shipped over along with many tons of heavy composite roof tiles from old English churches. Lots of custom work remains before its under roof, plus about a year and a half of custom interior trim work will be needed. It's been in the hands of the design engineers and architects now for about two years.

I'll let you know when it's time for you to move in...and I'll save one huge garage just for you with an Autostacker for your Ferrari.

But equally important is that when the dealership replaces the battery the dealership's service department takes full responsibility if anything fails to work after the battery is replaced, e.g. infotainment system, HVAC, sound amplifier, NAV, electric emergency brake, power seat, rough idle, etc. and there's no diagnosis fee or towing charge which has been somewhat commonplace for DIYers and sometimes when people have auto supply stores do the replacement.
I'm catching up on my ClubLexus reading

@bclexus - you'll be happy to know that I completely listened to your zillion recommendations to do this and had the dealer do it. Partially because I just didn't want to deal with it, partially because of fear of something happening, and partially because it's just not that much cheaper to do it yourself and the factory batteries are generally really good now a days.

While I don't have a fix for the issue with the infotianment being busted, having had to disconnect the battery quite a few times to deal with my tail light issue - I think one place where folks might go wrong is not being VERY patient when first powering the car on after the disconnect.

When you first power on after disconnecting the battery nothing will come up on the screen at first. After a little bit of time you will get a message on the infotainment screen saying that it's loading the system (I don't have the exact wording) and not to turn off the car. This does not come up right away and I would swear from my experience it's not 100% consistent on how long it takes to come up. The first time I did the disconnect it seemed to only take maybe 5-10 seconds. The second time I just about died because it wasn't coming up but maybe after maybe 15-20 seconds it did. I suspect if you turn things back off at just the right time before that message appears you're likely to create a problem.

I will say that I've been very impressed on what's held in memory even when the battery is disconnected for days. I think I've only found two things - the seat memory (which I'm guessing because I've seen it here) and the autofold setting for the mirrors defaults to off instead of auto.
