Tuned my in-car Bluetooth system today. Actually sounds like I drive a proper car now and not like I'm talking into a can on a string while sitting in a barrel

New tires Monday.....Today the alignment....

Also got to check out the newly remodeled dealership. The new customer lounge was nice. They were all prepped for the December to remember event. Showroom I thought was a bit bland.

And this is the present I want Santa to leave under my tree.... (although I want the one in Nori Green Pearl)

I had my yearly oil and oil filter change (and 15k mile maintenance service) done and the windshield washer reservoir topped-off. I had driven a whopping 4,574 Miles since the last oil and filter change exactly one year ago.

I took a close look at this thing. That thing is a monster!

I've driven both the LC500 and a LS500, each with the 10- speed transmission - and honestly that damn transmission would drive me absolutely insane.
All it wanted to do was hunt, hunt, hunt...and only every once in a while (it seemed like only when coasting) could the transmission actually decide on just one gear it wanted to remain in for a brief moment...then it was right back to hunting again as soon as you gave it the least tiny little bit of throttle.

The damn thing reminded me of an out-of-control drama queen that no sane man would ever stay with very long. It got on my nerves so badly I really couldn't enjoy the new car test driving experience.

I've noticed that the GS does seem to learn my driving habits somewhat - Is there any possibility that the same thing will happen on these so that it get better as you drive it more?

@BlueIS05 I believe what @Mangsailor is talking about is possibly this thread (assuming his post is what you were referring to):

Bluetooth echo and noise fix!

I rather doubt it. In my opinion a 10-speed transmission has at least two too many gears (and really four too many) which makes the 10 ratio spacings between gears way too narrow.

I've got 21-speeds on my mountain bike - twenty-one speeds! I have 3 Cranksets at the front: 28t, 38t & 48t. I have 7 cogs at the rear: 28t, 24t, 20t, 17t, 15t, 13t & 12t.

Look at all these bicycle ratios I have available.

A 10-speed vehicle transmission has an equivalent of 48% as many! No vehicle needs that damn many gear ratios! No wonder it hunts!

My Bicycle's 21 Ratios:

28t Rear Cog = 1st (1.00:1) ✓
24t Rear Cog = 2nd (1.17:1) ✓
20t Rear Cog = 3rd (1.40:1) ✓
17t Rear Cog = 4th (1.65:1) ✓
15t Rear Cog = 5th (1.87:1) ✓
13t Rear Cog = 6th (2.15:1) ✗
12t Rear Cog = 7th (2.33:1) ✗
► Middle 38t Crankset @ Front ◄ (The only crankset I use)
28t Rear Cog = 1st (1.36:1) ✗
24t Rear Cog = 2nd (1.58:1) ✓
20t Rear Cog = 3rd (1.90:1) ◄(The only gears I use)
17t Rear Cog = 4th (2.24:1) ◄ (The only gears I use)
15t Rear Cog = 5th (2.53:1) ◄ (The only gears I use)
13t Rear Cog = 6th (2.92:1) ◄ (The only gears I use)
12t Rear Cog = 7th (3.17:1) ◄ (The only gears I use)
Large 48t Crankset @ Front Ratio
28t Rear Cog = 1st (1.71:1) ✗
24t Rear Cog = 2nd (2.00:1) ✗
20t Rear Cog = 3rd (2.40:1) ✗
17t Rear Cog = 4th (2.82:1) ✓
15t Rear Cog = 5th (3.20:1) ✓
13t Rear Cog = 6th (3.69:1) ✓
12t Rear Cog = 7th (4.00:1) ✓

I only use the Middle 38t Front Crankset and typically only 5 different rear cogs for 3rd gear (1.90:1) , 4th gear (2.24:1) , 5th gear (2.53:1) , 6th gear (2.92:1) & 7th gear (3.17:1).

My point is I only need and want 5 gears for my bicycle but I have 21 available. I really cannot imagine ever needing to use more than 3 or 4 ratios.

As for vehicles; 6-speed vehicle transmissions rarely ever hunt. 8-speed transmissions hunt a lot. 10-speed transmissions are pathetic hunters.

My GS 450H eCVT transmission is absolutely 100% fabulous! Whoever the genius was that invented it needs to be crowned as a king of transmissions!

@4GS350 - nice color combo on the stitching. Are those for another Toyota product (like the JDM Crown) or wast that a color combo that came on a specific interior for the 4GS?

I think that stitching color was available only for the shifter on the RC F.
