Been a few weeks since the paint saw some suds... took advantage of the clear morning, albeit a little cold at 55 degrees... but she cleaned up well.

They're fairly common in Australia.

Default Additional Lexus member.

Washed the car thoroughly, get rid all the salt undercarriage, not enough time to wax, will do it in the morning.

My wife want a new Lexus for her next car because she loves my GS so much, but it a little low for her to get in/out. She settled for the new RX, and I talked her out for the 500h because I will mostly drive it outside of her working days 😁.

If you never drive it, the battery will go dead. Ask me how I know. (Wife: “Sell it or start driving it!). She’s not wrong.

She's absolutely right! I bet that you having a 'garage queen' makes no sense at all to her!

I also bet that she would prefer you just sell it.

Happy wife - happy life!

To be fair, she does not want me to sell it. Her point, which is valid, is the question of why we own and pay for a car we don’t drive. I asked her what she wants me to do. She says “I want you to drive it!”

Default Replaced crappy ugly looking wiper blades with original ones

The GS350 that I recently bought came with some worn out crappy aftermarket wiper blades. The original ones are cheaper than the more expensive aftermarket wiper blades. Plus the original ones are so much better looking!

@JDR76 - What is your reason (or excuse) for not driving it? Is it because you don't want to get it dirty or it might rain, or you don't want to put miles on it?

Perhaps you are a purist with the mind of a collector.

Can you explain the satisfaction you achieve from having this car?

Can you explain the satisfaction you achieve by saving this car for the next owner?

I guess it's like not having sex with your current girlfriend so you can save her for her next boyfriend.

Don't read too much into it.

It sits in the garage, all nice and clean. My truck sits outside, getting dirty all of the time. It's just easy to take the truck and not worry about anything (dirt, door dings, etc.). So I just drive the truck.

I intend to keep the car long term. It'll never be a collector piece, and it feels more special to me by not driving it every day - right or wrong. I LOVE the car and I LOVE driving it, so keeping it as a sort of rare and delayed gratification makes it more special when I drive it.

One additional issue is that my daughter can't really ride in the GS. She's incredibly sensitive, and there is something about the car that makes her car sick, so it doesn't work for the four of us to go at once. So...I go alone, or with my son, who loves the car.

All said, I vow to drive it more. I declare I will drive it to work this week!

Well, I do declare! Good on ya!

I hope it makes her happy seeing you driving it to work this week. Hope it doesn't rain. You can forget that!

Got any idea why your daughter is sensitive to riding in the GS?

Hope she doesn't think a door will fall off...

She says the dark headliner gets to her but it’s a bit of a mystery to me.

Hope she doesn't think a door will fall off...
Just…friend to friend, please don’t go there.
