Today was my 2nd BeatSonic CarPlay install in about the past two weeks. Little brother had to have what big brother has. Such a killer non-performance mod, may be the best bang for buck right up there with tints. Complete game changer IMO and that big a** screen now looks so dang sexy!

When you are in Carplay, is there any resistance in the controller at all, or is it completely unpowered, like it is when the car is off? Also, audio is done via bluetooth, so there is no degradation in quality when streaming Spotify or using the phone?

When you say “controller”, do you mean the mouse? If you do mean the mouse, in CarPlay it is completely free flowing and no longer restricted to only movements that take you to the static click points. Audio is flawless while using wireless or wired streaming Spotify. No degradation in quality, no feedback noises, nothing. All the car’s native buttons also still work too including the buttons around the mouse like “back” and “enter” which I didn’t even know until last night hitting it by accident. It truly is seamless and the system connects so fast that you don’t even see the Lexus native infotainment screen. Meaning it connects wirelessly and system goes straight from the Lexus boot screen to CarPlay when you turn on the car. Passengers would never know the car didn't come factory with CarPlay. And bouncing back and forth from CarPlay to Lexus Infotainment is just a click of the “Menu” switch (from CarPlay to Lexus) and a long press “Menu” (from Lexus to CarPlay).

When the car is on and you are simply moving around the factory nav map screen, not selecting icons, there is still some haptic resistance/dampening in the controller, like you're moving through mashed potatoes, which is helpful for accuracy.

When the car is off, there is no resistance at all, and it feels like a mild earthquake could make the controller move, which is suboptimal for accuracy if you want to interact with the infotainment at speed. I just wanted to know if you got any of that "mashed potato" resistance when using the BeatSonic, or if it is like when the car is completely off. Thanks.

Got it, sorry I have not used the Nav or fooled around with the joystick while the car was off so I learned something new. During CarPlay, it is exactly the same “mashed potato” feel as when using factory Nav.

Nice, someone finally got one. Looking forward to hear how well it hangs up. Any night shots?

Yeah the fitment looks great, But I think the smoked out pair of this will look better regardless of pre face-lift, the light bar looks bugger than it does in their promo pics.

I tweaked my tire pressure for the triple-digit temperatures of summer!

100°F

Caliper paint and decal upgrade with deep clean and ceramic wheel coating for the fronts, rears will get attention next weekend…

(Before)

(Aftermarket rotors that came with the vehicle)

(New coat)

(Crooked on the first try but second time’s a charm)

(After)

I used this kit from Dupli-Color https://a.co/d/0gDMZk7c and the decals from eBay https://www.ebay.com/itm/155700190685?var=456051213986. The only additional item the kit didn't have was clear coat so I bought this from Auto Zone https://www.autozone.com/paint-and-b...ce=1&gclsrc=ds

Do you have any more pics with these installed? Night pics as well? Can you create thread for it?
