What did you do to your GS today?

Nothing exciting. I paid my license tabs ($600-ish), so we'll definitely be keeping the car for another year! Woot!

After many hours agonizing over what to do to the emblems to appease my OCD’s need for some consistency and bring the 2016 GS into the refresh of Lexus emblems I landed on this which is sort of what they are doing with new model LC and IS500’s (new “L” badge and no “F-Sport”badging):
In case anyone wants to know, this is rear badge part number 90975-02122 which is a perfect fit for the GS. Doesn’t list this on the Lexus parts site and says it only fits the LS and NX but it does fit the GS. I think it matches my gloss black chrome delete and the gloss black “GS350” badging better than the chrome “L” or the gloss black “L” I had before. Finally, I am happy with it.

Well, I've been chasing some squeaky brakes and coincidentally my rears shut up after greasing and tapering the leading edge of the fronts. Randomly afterwards when reversing the brakes would shriek at me and I thought it was still the front.
Investigated this finally today and found it was hitting the little wear tang AT ITS BASE instead of simply at the tip. The whole pad, on the inside (and on both sides) were worn to a taper. Looks like when the pads are worn down around 3mm they no longer have full support in the caliper and will tilt in the bracket and do this. This is the first time I've ever saw rear pads do this, which is kinda disappointing. Per Lexus this is the second set of pads on this car, which is odd also since they're rear pads. Meh
I put duralast elites on the rear. Brakes are quiet again and feel just fine. We'll see how this goes I suppose.

@chinee agreed the carbon fiber inserts look good as well - unfortunately it doesn't seem like anyone is selling them for the 4GS anymore...

So far so good! If any noise/issues occurs going forward, I'll update. Couldn't be happier currently.
EBC Front Premium Front Rotors: Shipping/tax: $194.23
EBC Greenstuff Front Pads: Shipping/tax: $135.11
I researched this topic very thoroughly. I just refused to pay $$$ for OEM.
I purchased from eBay. I've used Bell Lexus from North Scottsdale for OEM products in the past, but their package is $844.00 w/shipping/tax!!

@Fis4Forty the upgraded emblem looks great on your white GS. A few others with positive experiences as well:

Not what I did today but what has been done over the past month, its been costly month but car is 7 years old with 71k and mostly wear and tear items.
1. Left rear wheel bearing $660
2. Battery $235
3. Water Pump and drive belt $700
4. Another fing AC servo $2717
My car was just out of the secondary service campaign notice (7 years /120K) by 3.5 months, dealer would not honor it, so I called Lexus corporate and all they could do for me was give me a $800 Service credit towards any future service or repairs at a Lexus Service center. It something I guess

@TarmacSL3 - I'm curious to know - Did you know ahead of time that you'd be spending over $4,000 on your 7-year-old car with 71k miles? And if so, did you consider trading for different car?
Forgot to mention all these items did not happen at the same time, Wheel bearing was in the beginning of August, the battery died on me late August the morning I was taking a trip to UCF to see my daughter and upon replacing the battery noticed the pink coolant all over and water pump was replaced. The AC servo just happened last week

I knew the wheel bearing was going and was prepared for that, the battery and water pump came as a surprise and both were not too bad. The damn AC servo this I was not expecting and $2700 (2400 in labor). But in the grand scheme I have not spent a dime on repairs other than routine maintenance. I plan to keep the car for another 7 or more years

I realize everyone looks at something like this differently, but when I heard it would cost $2,700 to fix the servos - that same day I would have been looking to get rid of it.
