Had 2 piece front rotors replaced with 1 piece steel ones under warranty. They werent really making any noise but I mentioned the LSB to the dealer and they said they would replace the rotors for free under the warranty (my factory warranty expires in September).
I know the 1 piece are slightly heavier and reduce braking power slightly but I'll take a free set of rotors. Next time they wear down I'll probably replace with 2 piece again.

That is very smart! My warranty expires in January so I think I will be doing the same thing sometime in the fall. What is the LSB you mentioned?
It will depend on your dealer and your relationship with your Service Advisor. I don't think all dealerships will automatically give you the warranty repair if they cannot replicate the noise. Like I mentioned for my car, there was no noise coming from my rotors or brakes at all, just that my rotors had been machined once before I bought the car (as part of CPO) and had about 30% life left. I figured, what the hell let me ask if they can replace the 2 piece under the LSB, worst case they say no and I have to pay for the rotors in a year anyway. Lucky for me my Service Advisor told me they can go ahead and just do it under warranty even though the test drive couldn't replicate the noise.
My guess is giving the customer the warranty repair gets the dealer's service department paid by Lexus, rather than declining me and having me go get the rotors and replace them myself/somewhere else. Something vs. Nothing, I guess.
Nice ... how difficult was the install? How did you run the power?
thanks!! It was super easy to program and install. Total about 20 mins.I took the wire and hid it along the trim. It came with a power cord that I installed into my cigarette lighter. The wire tucked very seemlessly. It loops and has a built in mic. I’m very satisfied...
Washed and waxed with Turtle Wax ICE, haven't done much to it mod wise, still have some xpel I need to put on but just too lazy to figure out the slip solution ratios and whatnot. Planning on doing an oil change next week.

I plan to wash, clay, polish (no wax), and immediately apply the 3M Scotchgard PPF Pro (SGH6) I have had it sitting since March... on the same boat as you. Just lazy and finding any excuse I can to not get around to it. Unfortunately, I have to get around to it soon since the shelf life of the adhesive is only 12 months. There are a bunch of good videos on YouTube on the slip solutions. I have a bunch of rubbing alcohol 70% and baby shampoo for the slip and tack solution. Also bought a pressurized sprayer from Amazon. I'll get around to it soon.

Haha yeah, the Xpel was the first thing I bought for the car believe it or not, and I got the car in December. I guess because it doesn't really change the look of the car I just never got around to applying it.
Thanks for the heads up on the shelf life, I didn't know that...I guess knowing that, it'll light a small fire under me to get it done.
