^This. I have this on the passenger side. Saw it, thought about escalating this to Lexus, and decided that it would be an uphill battle, or more issues would arise from this. Especially since hte door areas seem to be the most rattle prone area of the car.

Almost five years, 22,000 miles, not an issue.

I have no wrinkles on the inside door handle/ledge/arm rest for either side - driver or passenger. I do not have a habit of resting my left arm on the arm rest ledge, as I tend to lean to the right when I drive toward the shifter, and I rest my right arm on the center console cover. My habit of opening the car door is simply to push it open using my left forearm near the elbow on the trim that is level with the latch.

Gotta say seems a bit picky, leather, vinyl or any interior materials will show some wear and this seems extremely minor and within the bounds of normal

Thing is i have a IS250 2011 also with 100+k miles and the door panels look new without any cracks or wrinkles this is definitely a defect with these cars.

I have same wrinkles on the same spot. I figured out that it's my palm that generates the pressure when I am opening the door.

I push the grip area on the picture below when I was opening the door.

Now I am trying to change my habit of pushing the top plastic panel area instead of the grip.

It's not a defect with these cars, but rather poor design.

Lexus owners = complain about almost imperceptible changes to leather...
BMW owners = complain about N20 that grenades at 60k miles

Both have their pro's/con's. Both are top tier vehicles a lot will depend on personal preference.

I second this. I love both brands for what they are... BMW just is more sporty and spunkier to drive around. I miss my 550i... solid performing car and plenty quick for a heavy *** car. the textured plastics in the car wear down fast like it was plastidipped... Seals go bad around 100k.

Lexus is still one of the more comfortable brands to be cruising in. Long lasting, looks great. Not as fun to drive from an acceleration standpoint unless you have an F model. I wish Lexus still had a Non-F GS V8 powered model.

Thats odd, the interior on my buddies are all holding up pretty well, a few squeeks and rattles but otherwise good.
The GS F sport drives better than the 550 and 535i M Sport IMO, actually by a fairly wide margin when in sport +

The G30 certainly looks promising.

the leather is fine, but the window switch panels kind of have the similar effect of the melting dash in the is300s from back in the day...

That's normal wear on any car with "leather" upholstery or trim. About the only way to prevent it is to not drive it.

I've had this issue for a few months, its getting worse. I'm ready to go to Harbor Freight and pick up a heat gun. Looks pretty bad.
