F Sport also has variable gear ratio steering which changes between Normal & S+.....which actually physically makes the steering "quicker" (not just a "heavier feel" like in non-F). Also F Sport has bigger brakes too. Actually quite a few differences that add up to a very different driving feel to the car!

By the way, on the 16+ cars, the 12.3" screen no longer shows the diagram of what changes in the different modes...go figure???

I wonder if and when the ECU is ever cracked into if the steering tightness could be overridden to be more stiff. One of my complaints about the electronic steering when I got this car is that it feels a little too soft, I like the really tight steering. I don't know how the sport steering feels to the steering in sport+ on f-sport or if there is a really big difference there.

me 2 I don't really like the soft steering at all but when I put it in sport + I like the steering wheel all tight and wont wobble on rough road.

If you drove a '16 or later year Non-F I think you would be pleased with the S+ mode. Of course it does not have the same brakes, tires, or the rear steering but man it's a joy to drive and handles extremely well. Tires can be remedied easily but you'll need to spend some bucks for the other two. I am waiting for a open track day at the MSR course near Houston so that I can take mine out for a spin. Should be fun testing how well it does.

I just looked up an open track day race course near me (http://eaglescanyon.com/). I would love to take my car out to this! Only problem is that I could see myself getting addicted to doing this kind of thing. Plus, I would kill my tires.

Nothing like driving 100 miles round-trip and spending $185 to rip-up your tires and warp your brakes...and possibly break something, which may necessitate the car be towed or flat-bedded to the dealer or body shop for repairs.

Haha, when you put it like that, it doesn't sound so enticing. I think I will just hook up my radar detector and go driving around DFW highways during the weekend. Much healthier for my car in the long run. A few years ago (when I was younger and crazier) I once hit 140mph in my IS350 on George Bush Tollway (between 35 and 635). What a thrill that was. There is a stretch where you can see a mile or two ahead, when driving south bound.

You should be able to see what changes when you engage Sport mode by looking at your 12.3" screen. It should show the steering, engine and transmission as being highlighted in red for a few seconds.
I think your statement needs slight amendment, at least for the '13-14 cars -- it should read "In non-AVS equipped" rather than "non-F-Sport." The Lux package is non-F-Sport and is AVS equipped, and the S/S+ have the same behavior as an F-sport.
