That's not to say they sound bad, it's just my itch for improvement.
Thanks, yeah the JL sub and box sounded good but it made my entire trunk rattle and it didn't blend very well. This new setup is just better. It blends so well with the front mid bass and it's like smooth as butter. But at full tilt it gets loud as S*!t and can move some air.

Maybe this can help, it's kind of like half the sub is mounted in a sealed portion and the other half it's ported. You can't see the sub inside either.

Soundscape car audio in Plano,Tx did the work for me. Here's a little thing the had in their lobby that explains different types of enclosures.

For anyone who still is going to add subs, one piece of information I forgot to mention was setting up the Audio Control LC2i. The GTO feature for the LC2i didn't work for me so I bypassed it by tapping the remote turn on wire for the Mark Levinson amp and hooking it up directly to the LC2i's remote turn on gate. I hope this clarifies any questions for future subwoofer DIY's.

The LC2i has GTO which is an automatic turn on. The unit is shipped with the GTO jumper set to ‘Enabled’.

You need to run a separate remote wire to remote in to prevent the loud hum when turning off the car.

Am getting a delay with my sub. I got a jlaudio 10 with a alpine mvr 500 amp. I tap into the sub speaker like i did in my 2013 gs350. Now i have a f sport 2018 gs350 with mark leviton. Do i need to do something different with this setup
