Help with wheel and tire selection
I apologize up front everyone, I'm still a noob to the Lexus. I've spent days searching this forum and asking local tire and rims shops around my area. I'm looking to put some wheels on soon and I've decided to go with Niche. A couple of shop[s have told me I can do 10.5 no problem and said it wont rub at all. But when I check the forum I hear differently. The issue I have is I was looking to get a 10.5 rear because of the deep concave effect I will get. At the same time I don't want to rub because I have a family as well that will be riding with me frequently. I see several people on here that's done it but I haven't gotten a definite answer on the right set up. I also will be lowering it just a tad bit to close the gap a little, which I don't know if I should get Tenabe or RSR downs. Honestly I didn't want to lower the car but I know it will look funny once I put the 20's on it . I'm older so the slammed look is past me now. I just looking for a nice concave effect on the car. I don't even know if it will be worth the headache to go between a 10 and 10.5. Now I'm debating on which wheel to get, this is so stressful. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for all the questions at once.

What is the pricepoint on those rims? Have a pic of your car currently? I'm planning on getting wheels soon and I'm probably going to go with Stance wheels, they offer a bunch of cool options with finishes. I'm probably going with 19's, the rides on 20's might be pretty rough compared to stock, especially depending on where you live. If those are cast wheels they will more easily bend. I've bent almost every wheel on my other car over time with various potholes that I didn't miss.

Go with the 5 spoke (Milan)...I've seen both of these wheels on a GS and the 5 spoke is gorgeous! (Especially if you paint the calipers) As for 10 or 10.5 in the rear, I've seen GS's with 10.5 who said they had no problems. If it's that big of a deal though, just go with 10 and have peace of mind. My rears are 9.5 (fronts 8.5) and it's still a decent concave look. Also, I went with 19's (Niche Targa Anthracite) for the same reasons you're mentioning and still looks good but will definitely look better with a drop. BTW, 10 in the rear with 19's should look deeper than with 20's because of the smaller circumference. Just my opinion, good luck and post pics once you decide!!!

These wheels are about 1200 bucks. I've had 20's before I don't think it's going to kill the ride too much. Here's my car currently <img src="https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.clublexus.com-vbulletin/2000x1504/80-img_2369_2ed1d94c155bc38f2941819699a5aa98a627b287.jpg"/>

Ok nice ride. Thanks for the help, I still got a few weeks to decide what I'm going to do. To me not really a huge difference between the 19 and 20 of course when you lower it a little it looks even better.

Check out these car pics I saw the other day, it's the look you seem to be going for:

I usually recommend 20x9 +35 and 20x10.5 +45 with 245/35/20 and 275/30/20 for a stock to mildly lowered GS but the ones who like to go a little extra, we can work with a 20x9 +25 and 20x10.5 +35
There's many other brands out there with those style you're looking at.
I think something I have never seen done on a GS is the Forgestar CF5 wheels or any Forgestars.

I went with 20x10s +45 in the rear and have a nice concave look. Lowered on Tanabes. I think it's a perfect setup for a daily, not too aggressive. Just a nice clean setup!

Good thread, I'm looking to get some wheels too. I am also a noob.
Someone in my area is selling some Vossen VFS-2s at 20x9+38(?) front and 20x10 +45 rear gloss black
and bronze Vossen VFS-2s at 20x9.5 front and 20x10.5 rear.
I'm liking the color of the bronze and it's cheaper as well. Will those sizes cause any problems? I'm still on stock suspension at the moment, planning to go Tanabe springs in the future.
Thanks guys.
