I was always curious about why Lexus never came out with an AWD GS hybrid. I know they have had great success with the RX hybrid AWD. They even had the high priced LS 600h with their all wheel drive system. Both of the aforementioned cars have been around for at least a decade now.

Couple of years ago I was thinking that the 4GS line would see the introduction but it never happened.

Anyone ever hear about an AWD GS hybrid variant or the possibility of a future AWD GS hybrid in the works?

The reason is simple, the GS hybrid is not a big seller. I am actually suprised it even exists still.

I have the 450h. I bought it earlier this year used. I don't buy new, depreciation is crazy on these cars.
I bought it for the gas mileage, the power it has on tap when you want it, the luxury, and the reliability of Lexus.
Also it's dead silent when come to a complete stop.

I have yet to see another 450h on the road. Maybe it might be worth something one day since it's a rare low production car.

I agree that the GS Hybrid in general isn't a big seller in the GS lineup and following that same logic we could infer that an AWD 4GS hybrid wouldn't sell very well either..esp. if it came with a more premium price for the AWD components.

I guess I might be one of a very few folks who would've considered an AWD GS Hybrid if one existed...!
