We still have our 2003 Accord Coupe and car still drives very nice. Has about 170,000 miles. I had a 2015 and now 2016 GS350 F-Sport. Same Bridgestone tires. 2015 handled better than my 2016 on SPORT+ mode.
Well I have a '16 GS Lux package and it does have AVS. I can tell you from experience that there is no problem with body roll when in S+ mode. It's almost counter-intuitive as this is a very luxurious car and it should not perform that well but it does. I am currently working on a camera setup for the car as I intend to bring it to a local track to put it through it's paces. I will post a video when I do.
On your '14 you should have the suspension checked to confirm that all is in good working order.
I need to try a GS with AVS, seems like it would help a lot.
Going fast around corners or on a track is largely due to your comfort level and confidence in your vehicle.
The '14 base GS is a big car with soft suspension. Does that smack talker own a base 14 GS? and is he meeting me or not?
The only person "talking smack" is you lol. This is a Lexus GS Forum, not a 2007 Accord Forum. "Talking smack" here is preferring the Lexus GS to other vehicles?

Not talking smack. Just responding to all you butt hurt people. Notice how no one answered my original post question until I mentioned it again. You all just got triggered and couldn't believe that I said the GS has body roll LOL
I have the inline 4, I won't complain about power.
Let's meet at the canyons.
Good! Since you won't complain about power I have someone who will take you on at the canyons of your choice. His name is Ken...Ken Block. I'll be covering all bets against him with 100:1 odds.

Well...it does, lots of body roll.
#1 I no longer own a GS350.
#2 I still don't agree with you compared to its peers, and maintain that had you wanted the best handling GS available you should have bought one with the sport suspension option.
The statement that a 10 year old Accord is a better handling car is absurd, and is flame bait when posted on a forum such as this.

So do you blame the bait, or the retard fish that took it?
It wasn't bait by the way, just something I noticed since I own both vehicles. Just a general observation.
Man, didn't know this Honda Accord would trigger you GS boys so hard, I guess I should have known. It was just a gentle comment that generated so many tears.
And is it so wrong to say a 2007 car handles better than a 2014? I mean, the NSX was made in the 90s, yet *****s on almost every other car in terms of pure handling.
So, what are you trying to prove anyhow? Most older cars DO handle better than most newer cars. That should be, common knowledge, then again I'm not really talking to enthusiasts, just GS owners.
Lets take an excerpt describing the Accord's handling:
Behind the wheel, the Accord is nimble, but not devoid of awkwardness. Walton: “There’s a nonlinearity in the steering’s response.” Entering a corner you feel “an initial delay, then a gain as the tires grip, and finally a caboose feeling to the rear end.” Likewise, two drivers scorned the brakes as hair-triggered, jerking regardless of how calculated and gentle the pedal touch.
Sounds great! Now granted, the Accord won the comparison. But what this article does give us is what you wanted, which was an objective measure of performance, only one I can think of...a slalom time, weight distribution and a lateral grip measure.
For the Accord they are:
Slolom (MPH): 60.3. Interestingly, this was not best even in its class. The Fusion was 3 MPH faster, Sonata was 1.5 MPH faster. Beat only the Camry, and that only by .4MPH.
Lateral Grip (g): 0.75. Also, not best in the family sedan class, in fact it was the worst in class. Fusion was .80, Sonata .76, Camry .78.
By the way? What won that comparison? The GS did. Now, it was an F Sport, but all the competitors were their sport packs too.
Since we included thoughts from MT about the Accord's handling, lets do the same for the GS:
Maybe The Ultimate Driving Machine
Remember that E60 535i I mentioned, the one we adored and awarded first place in a February 2010 comparison test? Well, this new Lexus GS 350 F Sport reminds us of that car. A lot. Nimble, balanced, precise, and quick, the GS is a (retired) BMW cloaked in Lexus steel. At 3834 pounds, the GS is the lightest of the four and it feels it — turn-in is sharp and accurate, and weight transfer, whether lateral or longitudinal, is neutral and composed. The Lexus proved the most entertaining, rewarding, and confidence-inspiring up, down, and along our demanding Malibu road loop. Ultimate driving machine? Oh, yeah.
Lieberman: “Great steering. Balanced, communicative, properly weighted. Just a joy to drive. Neutral without being leaden. Very Mazda-like, in fact. And I say all this having driven the car in Sport instead of Sport Plus.” Evans: “This is a Lexus? Really impressed with the handling and confidence in the car. Holds the road much better than expected. Can really fling it at the corners.”
.
Sounds better than "awkward, nonlinear and hair triggered" doesn't it? And I highlighted the testers thoughts in Sport non even Sport Plus which should handle like your non AVS car.
To the numbers:
Slolom (MPH): 66.7 (6.4 MPH faster than the Accord)
Lateral Grip (g): .94 (.19g more than Accord)
Weight Distribution: 52/48 (10% more neutral weight balance than Accord)
So lets conclude: The GS goes through the slalom 6.4 MPH faster than the Accord, holds .19g more lateral grip than the Accord, and has 10% better weight distribution than the Accord...so yeah...I'll take the bet.
Like I said before, if you feel your 10 year old Accord handles better than the GS you don't really comprehend what makes one vehicle handle better than the other. Just because the Accord may "feel firmer" doesn't mean it handles better. According to the objective measures that Accord doesn't out handle an 11 year old Ford Fusion or Hyundai Sonata, let alone a modern GS.
