My brother used to be a full time bad *** and he used to own a 2007 Honda Accord back in 04. As I'm reading this thread, I've learned this isn't about the best handling car in the world but the best handling car Alive. I do understand this is a GS Three Five Zero Forum but I feel like I need to give you my true honest opinion about the Beast that the 07 Honda Accord is. As you all know, the 07 Accord has been in the market forever like the Daewoo. Whenever I drive this machine I feel like the Beast should of came with 10 gears instead of 6 so it could handle all that power coming from the VTEC. This car is so fast maybe even 12 gears might not even be enough to handle all those V-Horses especially when it kicks in at 5000 RPM. Like I said before, this car comes Race Car Ready straight out of the box. The VTEC also produces more Airflow and Areodynamic to give it a little more down force to the front two tires since it's all fwd. He also like to import his gas straight from Japan so he knows his VTEC is getting a clean blend straight from the source. I know these cars have a few problems with the rear break lights going out but that's fine, there's no need to slow down in these bad boys. Again my brother who is all JDM did think about getting the Coupe version but he figured a 4 door would be better because he likes to keep his car full of Japanese bitc*es and sometimes he had so many Japanese bitc*es in there, you open it up, it smelled like a full roll of Sushi. Again, this is Yoshi Takeashiita taking you to the old school.

Lets take an excerpt describing the Accord's handling:

Sounds great! Now granted, the Accord won the comparison. But what this article does give us is what you wanted, which was an objective measure of performance, only one I can think of...a slalom time, weight distribution and a lateral grip measure.

For the Accord they are:

Slolom (MPH): 60.3. Interestingly, this was not best even in its class. The Fusion was 3 MPH faster, Sonata was 1.5 MPH faster. Beat only the Camry, and that only by .4MPH.

Lateral Grip (g): 0.75. Also, not best in the family sedan class, in fact it was the worst in class. Fusion was .80, Sonata .76, Camry .78.

Weight distribution (F/R): 62%/38%.

So, lets find them for the GS...

http://www.motortrend.com/cars/audi/...luxury-sedans/

Additional data: https://www.edmunds.com/car-reviews/...rack-test.html

By the way? What won that comparison? The GS did. Now, it was an F Sport, but all the competitors were their sport packs too.

Since we included thoughts from MT about the Accord's handling, lets do the same for the GS:

.

Sounds better than "awkward, nonlinear and hair triggered" doesn't it? And I highlighted the testers thoughts in Sport non even Sport Plus which should handle like your non AVS car.

To the numbers:

Slolom (MPH): 66.7 (6.4 MPH faster than the Accord)

Lateral Grip (g): .94 (.19g more than Accord)

Weight Distribution: 52/48 (10% more neutral weight balance than Accord)

So lets conclude: The GS goes through the slalom 6.4 MPH faster than the Accord, holds .19g more lateral grip than the Accord, and has 10% better weight distribution than the Accord...so yeah...I'll take the bet.

Like I said before, if you feel your 10 year old Accord handles better than the GS you don't really comprehend what makes one vehicle handle better than the other. Just because the Accord may "feel firmer" doesn't mean it handles better. According to the objective measures that Accord doesn't out handle an 11 year old Ford Fusion or Hyundai Sonata, let alone a modern GS.
Let's analyze your post, which also is not a fair comparison. So you're just as guilty as me, or worse.
Like you said, they reviewed the F sport, which I do agree is the car I should have bought. But the F sport is an entirely different car from my base GS.

Also, you posted a review of the 2005 Accord, while I have the 2007.

Also, you are just going by what you read from reviews, while I possess both cars in question (minus the F sport).

So, at this point you're just talking out of your @$$.

The 2007 is still the same generation as 2005. The mid-refresh only increased the power slightly and added vehicle stability control. Besides, they review the V6 model which is faster and has better suspension than your 4-banger.

As for the F-sport, you probably didn't bother to read but they commented that even in Sport mode instead of Sport+ it already was handling excellently. Sport mode basically is the same as the base; it's Sport+ that firms up the suspension.

But hey, just keep on deluding yourself.

Damn - your brother must have been a special bad *** if he had a 2007 Honda way back in 2004!

LOL, just admit when you've been proven wrong. Numbers don't lie. It was a 2005 and yours is a 2007, that's a weak argument, the two cars are identical. It was an F Sport and yours is not, the numbers aren't even close. The AVS doesn't allow the GS to gain 6 MPH (10% faster) in the slalom, or have 20% better lateral grip. Let's say losing the AVS reduces these margins of superiority by half...it still easily beats that generation of Accord. The comparison is just silly.

Go troll someplace else lol

Honda Accord = ultimate trigger words for GS fanboys.

Wow, didn't know these 2 words were so powerful, lol.

Eh, I don't go by numbers and reviews, I have both cars. None of you seem to have both cars.

I don't think you know what VTEC is.

You're right, I agree with you that numbers and reviews shouldn't matter to you, only your own opinion. When you drive that Accord, you'll feel like you can out handle any 4th gen GS350 out there (especially in the canyons!). But hey, since I had the Accord too (2006 sedan and 2007 coupe 4cyl), I'll know that GS has better handling (amongst other things) than the Accord irrespective of the reviews and numbers that go with it.

Why would you want to go by the numbers when they prove you have no idea what you're talking about lol
