Default Windshield washers.

Probably a RTFM question. Just wondering what I am doing wrong operation the windshield washers? If the windshield is dirty and wipers are not running, I press the washer button yet the wipers don't turn on. So I have to manually turn on the wipers to complete the process. This can't be right. I'll get the Operator's manual out now.

You have to hold it for more than 2 seconds for the wipers to engage. was the same in my old car as well. Tried that?

yeah, I always pull the stalk toward me for about 5-8 seconds. the wipers will continue wiping for two additional passes after releasing.

If you're pressing the button at the end of the stalk, then you are just activating the auto rain sensor setting. You need to pull and hold the stalk towards you for windshield washers.
