2015 GS 350 F-Sport clicking front rotor repair
Hi Guys,
If you are having ticking clicking front wheel noise while making a left/right turn, there's a new bulletin to fix this. L-SB-0100-16 covers 2015+ GS 350 F Sport Rotors + Pads replacement.
I just took my car to the dealer to replace my pads at 18k miles and they are replacing my 2 piece Aluminum rotors with 1 piece Steel rotors with F-Sport pads for free.
The clicking sound comes from the jointing area of the 2 piece rotors so they are switching to 1 piece.
I was told that these new steel rotors will last longer than aluminum rotors.
Hopefully this will help!

I doubt that is true, should be the same braking wear surface on both rotors.
Did they tell you the new rotors are much cheaper than the originals?
Did they tell you the increased weight may reduce ride quality?

If they figure out a way to fix the 2 pc rotors, I will gladly pay. Until then, most of you will enjoy free pads and rotors.

I checked with the parts department and it's not the standard rotors. They actually have the standard rotors in stock but new F Sport replacement rotors are backordered for 3 weeks. They just ordered new pads, hardwares and new rotors today.

Can you share cost information? My dealership quoted me 1750 for brake pads and rotors on all wheels.

My pads were at 2mm and rotors were at 27mm @ 18k Miles.
I drive mostly on fwy and never tracked.
My tech said new rotors are 1 piece like GS-F and RC-F. Will last longer than the original GS350 F sport rotors.
Here are the part numbers for the new front rotors:
43512-WY010 FR
43512-WY020 FL
They are around $240 each.

I researched this, it does appear they are 14" rotors, one piece and were used on the Toyota XG platform which is based on the GS in japan. Translate this page and you'll see they're 356mm or "14 inches". For around 190 each, much less than the two-piece ones!

I think the dealer price is $240 but you can get it cheaper when you buy online.
i guess Lexus is moving away from 2 to 1 piece rotors now.
btw. This rotor update applies to RC F Sport too.
