Default How-to: Remove the back seat.

I would like to remove the back seat from my GS-350 (2014). One thread I found said to pull up on the front of the seat but this doesn't work. Has anyone done this on a 4th Gen? Thanks.

The front edge of the bottom cushion lifts up on my 2015. There are two tabs (on the front edge) securing the bottom cushion. The tabs are located - well if someone were sitting in your back seat you'd pull up on the front edge that would be between their legs, lol. Put your fingers on the seam (where the bottom edge of the cushion meets the carpet) and you'll see what I mean.

If it makes you feel any more confident, I just went to my garage and did it to verify I remembered this correctly.

Just a couple of quick, strong pulls and it will pop up. Do the same on both sides and the cushion will "swing" up and out. The back edge of the bottom cushion has a few metal tabs that slide into hoops. Once you get the cushion out, you'll see what I mean.

The back cushion is secured with a few bolts at the bottom. Once those are removed, the back cushion will "lift" up and out. You will need to deal with the safety belts, but that was pretty straightforward too.

If you are doing this to have access to the top of the rear shock towers, better access can be had from inside the trunk. If you are doing this for cleaning and/or to retrieve something that slipped between the cushions, this should be a quick and easy task.

Excellent post, my fuel filter is well overdue for replacement and need to get the seat out to get to it. Doesn't look difficult at all.

Whats wrong with your fuel filter? It's something not necessary to replace. My first car drove to 232,505 miles with original fuel filter on regular gas. Not to mention the GS runs on top tier premium gas.
