How did you guys manage to get the cover off from the driver side ? There's barely any room there! That plug for the cap is also on there pretty good. I couldn't get it off from the driver side.

I might as well just take off the bumper and the headlights so I can have complete access to the back of the lights haha. Do you happen to have a PDF for the headlight removal? It'll give me a chance to clean up behind the bumper and clean the leafs that are stuck by the radiator
I was able to squeeze my hand in there, Once it's in it's easier to work with. Getting it in was the hard part.
Otherwise I guess you take out the entire drivers side fender liner out. Or find someone with smaller hands.

I installed my osram bulbs last week. It was not too bad to install. I didn't remove any panel from the fender. My hands are small so I can squeeze in on the driver side, but i just use my hand to feel the clip.

I had my right hand reaching in from the wheel well and left hand reaching in from the top side. It was tight but it worked. My hand got a bit roughed up in the process though. Maybe some lube will do?

That's crazy.. Not just because of hand size but also that there's hardly room for even for the bulb to come in and new one to be put back in.

Yeah, I know that's crazy I did take out the metal cover so I have a little bit more room and then I took the bulb out really really slow and put the new bulb in slow as well.

I feel like the headlight is kind of low. I've read over the forum and people did adjust by turning the 2 gears of the headlight about 4-5 turns clockwise. Have anybody done that?

Here is another thread how to to change HID bulb in the LS forum. I believed the clip that hold the bulb looks similar to our GS. Hope this help!

Yes, you don't know what you're missing... You just need a long philips head screwdriver.

Watch this video, it has a clear view on how that retainer clip works. It is an ES, but the design is exactly the same.

Thanks for that video. I can see what I need to do to get the bulb out.

I recently got this done too. The hardest part was just removing the covers.

Thanks for the info in this post. I replaced both sides this weekend, like others have mentioned not too hard just sucks for people with big hands like myself. It was a lot of blind feeling but I got it!

I was finally able to swap out the bulbs today! It just took a little more patience and not being afraid of breaking the bulb retainer clips.

Can't wait until it's dark so I can see if there's a difference. What did you guys do with the OEM bulbs?

Note that HID bulbs take some time to burn in. In the first few hours, you might find them with a slight tinge of yellow. Give it a week or so and the color will be perfect.
