Installed the Takeda over the weekend. Took about 1.5 hours, relatively straight forward, using some tips outlined above.
Put about 100 miles in, no issues. Then CEL. Both MAF sensor and crank case hose (I think) are secured. I do see an “extra” hose that was apparently on the OE that I have no idea where it’s supposed to go...? Any ideas?
Shout out to Josh at Meraki for the great price and service!
Sounds like you're referring to the sound generator. It's not on the takeda intake tube.
Thanks, that’s what I had assumed. So just leave it there? Strange that isn’t called out in the instructions as an FYI.
So with that being said, any ideas to root cause of check engine light? All clamps seem to be tight.
Any chance you have an OBD reader? I'm curious what codes came up. I never had that problem occur when I had my takeda intake on. Hopefully someone can chime in here but it can be anything to a faulty MAF, vac leak, air/fuel ratio, blah blah blah, hard to know unless we got codes.

Yes, you can get the clamp for less than a dollar at Home Depot. It's definitely worth the extra security. Not sure how yours stayed on, but mine wouldn't stay with the original clip. Glad to hear that you like the intake though!
What size hose clamp do I need? Mine keeps coming off as well and the check engine light went on.
