yup that will do it. Try 250/250 or 50/100. That will add 200+ real quick

Btw this post is pretty pointless. There are so much variables with insurance cost its not even funny. No two identical drivers will ever get the same insurance quotes

Comprehensive and collision is covering your own car, which he doesn't have. So he will be paying out of pocket to fix or take a complete loss if it's totaled.
I paid 28k for my car used, I've lost more than that in the stock market before, I'm willing to take that risk
I've never had an accident and pulled over once in my life so I consider myself low risk.
25/50/25 is the state minimum were I live.

Maybe because I'm not married with no debt and savings...I'm comfortable having the minimum insurance .

damn... driving $30k cars with liability only.. y'all have guts

my rates for 6-month in Boston was $535 last bill and it's $750 this bill due tomorrow. $500, $100k/$300k, full coverage. clean record. Geico

For some reason, the GS went up few space in the insurance danger scale.. wasn't too happy. Y'all need to slow down

OP, it's your money and I don't gain or lose a cent from advising this.

if you have 28k set aside for another car in case you total the GS, great for you.
But your minimum liability is what scares me. If you have any assets, seems like you do, the opposite insurance company will sue you until bankruptcy if you are found at fault. Here is how... $25k will be wiped out at a hospital within 2 days, and if there is a full car of people, that 50k will be gone in a heart beat. Also majority of cars on the road worth far more than 25k. Heck, most new cars nodays cost more than 30k. So the second your insurance limit is maxed out, the lawsuits will start. Then say bye bye to your hard earned life savings and frozen bank accounts

I don't think people here need an education on insurance and coverage. They choose whatever coverage as they wish (legally allowed) and I'm sure they ARE aware of any consequences of getting low coverage. I mean this is how insurance works, you pay lower premium you're at a higher risk of paying out of pocket in case of an accident. Everyone is well aware of this. Also it is not a good thing to say to people that they will get in an accident or total their car or get sued to bankruptcy. Back to topic, I pay $180 a month with liability and comprehensive/collision ($50 deductible - VERY useful in case of a small claim, such as window break in), with one speeding ticket (+15 MPH).

i disagree. Most people have no clue what insurance means or their coverage, only going off monthly premium. Ex: DALLASGUY1 (sorry for calling you out)

Like I said, I have nothing to gain from the post, just want drivers to be aware.

you might be in denial, but accidents and being sued into bankruptcy can totally happen. I seen it before many times and am in the field

OP - You have no comprehensive or collision insurance on your vehicle. Your liability coverage is pathetic and your uninsured motorist coverage is beyond deplorable. Your insurance coverage is tragic...and you are a driving time-bomb just asking for huge trouble, which is obviously beyond your ability to understand the seriousness of the matter.
