Default Front wheel fitment issues

Hello CL, I am new to this website but have been looking through various threads to help me modify my 4gs fsport. I recently purchased a set of D2Forged wheels for my car. My rear wheels fit without any issues 20x10.5 +45. However, the front wheels hit the big brakes and can only fit with a 10mm spacer (20x9 +32). A friend of mine had a universal 10mm spacer that I used to confirm. A 5 mm spacer won't clear big brake. I think it's the design of the wheel that is causing this issue because I have seen plenty of people on CL running vossens with exact specs. If I decide to put on a 10mm spacer up front will I 1) rub? And 2) do I have to add spacers to my rears or can I get away with just 10mm spacer up front? All advice will be greatly appreciated. Almost forgot, I am lowered on tanabe springs and my vehicle is an AWD.

my tires are 245/35/zr20 hankook evo2
275/30/zr20 hankook evo2

10mm spacers drops your front offset to +22

rubbing depends on your tire size and how low you are...you should be fine if its not tucking your tires.

and you can get away with running just front spacers. your rear wheel is wider so you wont be able to tell there's front spacers on at all. it also shouldnt affect the way the car drives.

if anything, it looks better since itll be more flush compared to the rear wheels.

It usually the wheel design if a wheel at that size doesn't clear.. Were these used or new? I'm sure they have a Face 1 or flat face version for the 20x9 instead of a concaved version which is probably what you have that being why they're not clearing those brakes.

As for your questions.

1) When I ran 20x9 +20, I ran a 225/35/20 tire and I rubbed on my fender liner and I was sad because I couldn't drive around aired out or even at a nice height without rubbing away my fender liner.

2) When I ran 20x9 +20, I had 20x10.5 +35 in the back and it helped even out the aggressive fitment.. You can but you really don't need to unless you don't mind rolling that little lip in the rear quarter and running max camber.

Thanks guys for all the replies and advice. I will order 10mm H&R spacers and try out the wheels. fingers crossed that it doesn't rub so I can move on and enjoy my wheels. So based on advice given, I will not put spacers on the rears, which I wanted to avoid. Again, any additional advice/suggestions will be greatly appreciated. To anwer your question:

1) Mrpartsman- I am running oem f-sport breaks. I think it's because of the front wheel design having the concave look causing the issue.

You cant run concave in the front of the GS , which sucks, and if I were u run a 5 mm spacer first then see where it sits instead of 10, because now u are loosing 10mm on your wheel stud to hold ur lug nut, hopefully that would fix ur issue.Good luck.

If you're doing a 10mm spacer, I hope you are getting extended studs. I've had close friends of mine lose a wheel mid turn because not enough threads due to spacers larger than 5mm without extended studs.

Oh yes 100% extended studs. Already ordered H&R spacers. Geturwheel: you mentioned that u ran 225/35/20 20x9 20 but what were u lowered on at the time (air, coilovers, springs)? I am on springs (Tanabe) so hopefully little to no rubbing.

Platinum VIP air cups over megan coilovers. I had to drive around at spring height to help minimize rubbing. Look through my personal user name, jjashaa

So the chances of me fitting my TSW Bathurst 20x10 +40 up front is a no without running 10 or 15mm spacer? I have not tried to fit them yet as I am still a week into the car and just enjoying it.

Nooo, thats too much and I always say , stay away from spacers max is 5mm and ur taking chances its not worth it, the stud braking and wheel flying off and putting ur life in danger for saving some $$ for wheels, just pay little more and get the correct size and offset unless u like headaches.

I finally got my H&R 10mm spacers with extended studs installed by lexus. Here are some pics of the finished product. No rubbing up front or rear. Added some extra pics of my car for the heck of it. Enjoy!
