Highway MPG on AWD
I know this is a beat to death subject but today i ran the my tank completely on highway miles and got 29.3 mpg with the AWD model. I was going about 70 - 75mph with some stretches to 80. Strangely going any slower seemed to hurt MPG . This is without a doubt the best tank of gas and just wanted to share my results. What have other people been getting recently?

I've gotten 28 mpg on all highway on mine. No complaints there.

I agree, this car likes to go fast. I have found that on the highway I get about 25 ~ 27 MPG. In the city I get about 18 ~ 20. I used to get a lot worse but I guess the car has learned my driving style? I dunno, but I'm much happier then when I was getting 16 MPG.

I do alot of city driving with mine so my MPG is nowhere near that, but what I found is that this car is more efficient if you give it more gas to get up to speed from a stand still. Staying under 2500rpm will actually burn more gas as you're stuck in the lower gears for longer. I think it has to do with the rolling resistance of the AWD and the lack of low-end torque on these cars.

I got 28MPG once but I think that was a fluke. Generally 22-24MPG highway is what I get.

According to the car computer and doing 100% highway driving in ECO mode I'll get ~24 and in either normal or sport mode I typically get ~26 with no change in driving style, Go figure.

I got that mileage without using cruise control, I was moderating my maintain speed based on incline. If it was a descent, i let off the throttle and going uphill i allowed the car to slow down a bit. If i had to pass cars, i made sure i did not overtake too quickly.
