Jerky transmission shift during cruise control operation down hill
When using cruise control at almost any speed and especially at speeds below 45 mph, the transmission jerks into a down shift what goin down a hill. Sometime the rpms can shift 1500 to 2000 rpms during the shift. Very annoying. Is there any fix and/or solution? Maybe a software change, etc.??

That's feature
Not very car cruise control doing that, down shift is only way to keep speed consistent when going down hill. I don't remember which model (2016 or 2017 model) car doesn't do this and get complain from reviewer.

OP - Cruise-control does not work well at speeds of 45 mph or below unless the road is flat, which will allow the vehicle to easily maintain a constant speed without accelerating/decelerating and/or the necessity for the automatic transmission to shift. At such a low speed, any hill (up or down) will cause the car to accelerate/decelerate, downshift/upshift, which is not how cruise-control is meant to be used. It is meant to be used on an open highway/Interstate at speeds of 55+ mph with only hills of minor grade that do not require the vehicle to decelerate or accelerate except in a very limited amount.
