Default Where is Transmission/Revolution Speed Sensor?

Hi Club Lexus,

Quick question. My 2013 Lexus GS 350 just hit about 54,000 miles and my check engine light came on. My car now is shifting really roughly and wont shift past 4th gear so when I cruise at 70mph, I'm at 3.5k rpm. I went to O'Rilley's and did an OBD test and it came up with a P0717 code which states that the Input/Turbine speed sensor is out. I did some research and found the transmission/revolution speed sensor part for this car and am trying to install it. My question is where is the transmission speed sensors located on a 2013 GS350? Not sure where to start but I'm ready to fix this issue. Lexus dealers want 150 dollars to diagnose the problem but i'm pretty sure it's just the speed sensors. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Isn't your car still under warranty?

The sensors and wires are not under the power train warranty so I'm just figuring it out myself. That's why Lexus wants to charge 150 to even diagnose further.

2013 GS transmission is the same as 3rd Gen GS, you should try over there.
