Lexus Champion
Motor Trend states it:

We selected the $31,920 Camry XLE AWD as our starting point instead of the slightly pricier XSE AWD ($32,460 to start) because Toyota does not yet offer the AWD option on the equivalent Avalon XSE (or Touring or TRD trims), so the luxe-oriented XLE makes for the best comparison.

Lexus Test Driver
I drove the new Camry before I got the ES. Didn't bother looking at the Avalon cause the styling doesn't sit well with me, especially the sticking out tablet dash. The Camry's engine was so noisy but it was the 4cyl one that I drove. The ES is just in a whole different level when comparing these cars, although they're all riding on the same platform, the refinement of a Lexus is just worlds better.

I think the 840i Gran Coupe would be an awesome replacement for the GS if it does go away

From Hoovey:
https://www.autoblog.com/2020/03/24/...oduct-roadmap/
The bigger news for Lexus in 2021 would be the debut of a next-generation IS sedan, the current third-generation model on sale since 2013, last updated in 2016. The NX crossover could also debut a brand new model on the TNGA-K platform, bringing "strikingly avant-garde design with revolutionary tech," a 2.5-liter PHEV powertrain with 40 miles of all-electric range among its five rumored powertrains, and a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The GS sport sedan, long left in limbo, finally dies. In its place could come a Lexus-badged version of the hydrogen fuel-cell Toyota Mirai.

Speaking of Lexus, the 2022MY will bring a facelift for the LS and ES sedans, while the GS is going to be retired. Apparently, the Mirai and ES are seen are replacements for the aging sedan, but it is believed Lexus dealers were shocked when the fuel cell rear-wheel-drive sedan was introduced with a Toyota badge rather than a Lexus. As for the IS, the next-gen model is said to arrive during the 2021 calendar year.

definitely looking to replace my 4GS with a Audi RS7 great car, steering is not as communicative as my deceased 4GS, but it’s fast as hell with lots of luggage space, and more fuel efficient then my 4GS’s V6.
1. Audi RS7
2. Mercedes-Benz S450
3. Mercedes-Benz E43
4. BMW 840i Gran Coupé
5. Cant think of 5th sedan I really care for.
