definitely looking to replace my 4GS with a Audi RS7 great car, steering is not as communicative as my deceased 4GS, but it’s fast as hell with lots of luggage space, and more fuel efficient then my 4GS’s V6.
1. Audi RS7
2. Mercedes-Benz S450
3. Mercedes-Benz E43
4. BMW 840i Gran Coupé
5. Cant think of 5th sedan I really care for.

I saw a lease on a s450 with sport package for 800
Have you considered the CLS 53?

From Hoovey:
https://www.autoblog.com/2020/03/24/...oduct-roadmap/
The bigger news for Lexus in 2021 would be the debut of a next-generation IS sedan, the current third-generation model on sale since 2013, last updated in 2016. The NX crossover could also debut a brand new model on the TNGA-K platform, bringing "strikingly avant-garde design with revolutionary tech," a 2.5-liter PHEV powertrain with 40 miles of all-electric range among its five rumored powertrains, and a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The GS sport sedan, long left in limbo, finally dies. In its place could come a Lexus-badged version of the hydrogen fuel-cell Toyota Mirai.

Speaking of Lexus, the 2022MY will bring a facelift for the LS and ES sedans, while the GS is going to be retired. Apparently, the Mirai and ES are seen are replacements for the aging sedan, but it is believed Lexus dealers were shocked when the fuel cell rear-wheel-drive sedan was introduced with a Toyota badge rather than a Lexus. As for the IS, the next-gen model is said to arrive during the 2021 calendar year.

As a source of this information I am having to play damage control from being taken out of context. Very very annoyed by this.
Funny how I make my casual commentary on these matters where it goes unheard, yet when a journalist hears from me in a private email and then proceeds to post an article on it and then that article is copied and messed up by stupid clickbait entities, it catches on like wildfire whether deadly false or dead accurate. Good luck to people with that silly logic and swallowing BS in place of credible...
Anything about a new GS is fake news because the person they're indirectly copying it from said there isn't one. People really need to exercise due diligence, without being incorrigible skeptics that dismiss gold right in front of their faces and don't learn from it.

I would be perfectly happy with a new generation 359ps/354hp GS hybrid that does 0-60mph in 4.5s
EDIT : Even more impressive is the overtaking ability of the multistage hybrid system in the Crown platform/planned new GS.

My commonsense tells me that Lexus will release a midsize full EV powered RWD luxury sedan within the next 5 years, but Lexus will neither confirm nor deny it - Lexus simply won't make it public; it will be released out of nowhere.
Toyota keeps most things secret.

COVID19 has messed up our sense of transportation realities and has many content with what we already have (and used very little except for essential needs and travel situations). It is great timing to NOT have any major announcements.
I do not know what to make of this special model unless you want a limited release before they say Sayonara ! to the GS family. Who's going to pony up $$ for these signature editions when the vehicle replacing it will be better?
Do we need a GS series, or will something better in as a hybrid variant be sufficient? Bring on the 2021 model year info and what we should be looking forward to!

I believe more in 5 years from now versus under 3 yrs. There is nothing in current product plans for anything before MY2024 in terms midsize, RWD. Only LF-1 and RX get attention, as only entry/compact and large RWD Lexus get investment. GA-N is the simply the narrow version of GA-L.

Between this news for a special 2020 limited series GS, Toyota Mirai, and the Toyota Crown -- it sure is confusing what is going on for a sportier sedan model in between the ES and LS.

A little off topic but related... - I was trying to go back and read a post that talked about the sales numbers of the GS vs the sales numbers of many of the German models - things like the Gran Coupes, etc... and how the German makers keep those models despite sales being tiny. It was a pretty long post, posited some interesting points. I don't want to start a rehash of all that - I just want to go back and read it for a discussion I'm having with a good friend (he's a Acura guy though....so what do you expect, he doesn't understand the GS )
Is there a good way to find that? I've tried searching with the search on here, with using the "site:clublexus.com" directly in Google to no avail....
Also maybe a bit of a newbie/silly question but is there a way to "bookmark" a reply on a thread? so you can easily find it later? I'm assuming maybe the "Like" would sort of allow this behavior?
Thanks in advance!
