Default High road force - new tires

Reason:
Bad tires. Back to OEM set up and everything is perfect now.

Is your suspension modded? Aftermarket wheels aren't the best when it comes to balance.

Doesn't sound impossible after few months of use, especially on aftermarket mods.

Completely stock... I put the OEM wheel-set back on and its perfectly smooth, ruling out anything drive-line and suspension related. I'm bringing the wheelset to the lexus dealer to see if they can road force it down to acceptable numbers, if that doesn't work than that it looks like i'll need new wheels?

very nice on the OEMs. Most people trash it and don't have another set to test.

is it possible to test the balance of the wheels without tires? Hopefully it won't cost you too much.
Seems like tires are shot, but new tires won't fair better if rims are no good.

Did you road road force the wheels and tires on the first install?

I hate chasing suspension issues. It forces me to go back to OEM.

you can always lower the psi a couple of pounds to reduce the feel.

Can someone define "road force"? Sounds like a verb...

costs extra to balance on this machine.. but probably the best way to get a "perfect" balance... even without weights.

Last year, I had good (used) Michelins mounted on (used) 17's balanced at the local Goodyear. It took 2x to get the balance "pretty good". Last month, I had same tires/rims force balanced at the local Les Schwab. There was too much run out on one tire. They spent an hour getting it right. Also replaced all weights. Cost was $98. Afterward, the drive was noticeably better. Tonight (2 weeks later and roughly 100 miles), I noticed that the drive is now smooth and completely vibration free. Finally felt "LS smooth" like my 01. Does it take time/miles to "break in" tires after force balance?

Tirerack has an inventory of equipment at installers, makes it easy to find shops that have road force balancing gear near you.
