Carvana has been having issues get some buyers their vehicle registration in the news lately. Prices are still lower than some dealers in my area.
Has anyone recently sold to them lately?

Here in S. Florida there are numerous complaints & some lawsuits against them whereas buyers paid in full & have been waiting for titles for months. I'm not making this up. STAY AWAY!

for a Lexus GS 350 F sport. Needed to get out away from my BMW where the timing chain failed and cracked at 65k miles. Cost of repairs was over $13k, I only had to pay $3.5k since there was a class action lawsuit. but anyway I found GS 350 f sport with all the options I wanted, plus having the piece of mind owning a very reliable car.
To be honest the process was very easy and smooth. They gave me $15k for the BMW and no dealership came even close to that to trade in. Carvana paid off the remaining amount on my loan and put the difference towards the Lexus. Only complaint my delivery date kept getting pushed back and had to wait over a month from my original scheduled delivery, but it was well worth the wait.

@kmac7863 congrats on the GS! I read the issues other buyers are having in other states, but noticed that buyers in the tri-state area (NY, NJ, CT) aren't having as many issues with getting titles. Did you have any problems with getting the title from Carvana and getting the car registered in NJ?
I was a little concerned about getting the registration and plates in time since I also have read nightmare stories about people waiting months and months. For me my registration and plates came 3 days after my 7 day trial period and before my temp expired. Carvana’s communication was great. I hesitated a few times before actually pulling the trigger and going through the whole process, but looking back I couldn’t be happier.

I have heard good things about Carvana giving good trade and buy offers, but can't say the same about people who have purchased cars from them. I have a friend who purchased a car from Carvana and he is still waiting for the title. As of right now it has been a little over 3 months since he purchased the car from them and still no title, and from the sounds of it, he isn't the only one. In some states the attorney general is getting involved because its happening to so many people. If you have a CarLotz (carlotz.com) in your area, they can consign your car or buy it right from you. My parents had their car consigned through them and they were very impressed with the whole process. They said it was quick and painless which is nice to hear. Maybe give them a shot too?
