Yes they are summer tires but in terms of aggressive performance and style, I would guess they are a better tire? My GS is my second vehicle so in snow I use my other car

Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season Plus seems to be the one i'm leaning on based on the recommendations and it's actually quite a bit cheaper at $200 CAD which is right on my budget...

I have this tire. Love it. I bought mine preowned and thought the car was louder than it should be for a lexus. I put the P7's on and it felt like a different car. You won't go wrong with the P7's.

I'll second this. The only Pirelli tire I'll buy. I had the P6's on my Audi and they were the best tires I had owned and they have only made them better with the P7's now.

How much of a "performance delta" in terms of grip is there for the P7 and the Michelin A/S?

I had the P7 on my previous Acura TL. Great tire for comfort, but wouldn't mind potentially going with the A/S to get a little of both worlds (comfort/grip-performance)

I think you are spot on. The Michelin is a little better with both worlds. I was looking strictly for comfort/quietness, so the P7 was my choice. Again, I had the new AS+ on for about a week. Was very "connected" to the road, but not as smooth as P7.

When you say the P7 is smoother, do you mean the road vibrations are more smoothed out? What about noise on rougher pavement?

It's like a slightly softer suspension setting. The noise was pretty close between the P7 and AS+, both are very quiet (probably the quietest tires you can get).

Would there be any issues going 245/45/19 and 275/40/19 (up a size and an aspect ratio)? I'd imagine doing this in addition to P7/AS+ tires would be extremely comfortable.

I find the Cinturato P7's a little quieter, but not that much quieter.
However, I find the P7's softer as far as impact shock is concerned.

Just curious...what data are you using to compare tires?

I think i'm pretty much sold on the P7's, though the pilot sport AS 3 is a very close 2nd though the only downfall is that its slightly more expensive at $230 per tire compared to $200 with the P7's. They are both highly rated tires and based on user reviews from tirerack, general consensus is that the pilot sport does give better handling with a slight noise trade off whereas the P7's are better at absorbing bumps with the softer sidewall; and for me that is exactly what i'm looking for, maximum comfort

Was really hoping to be under $200 per tire. Any other suggestions?
I am a Michelin and Continental fan. Take a look at some Continental tires. You pay for what you get.

Would the P7 work for a F Sport? Or should I go for the slightly more performance/connected feel of the AS 3 while sacrificing some quietness?

Lots of good discussion in this thread, thanks guys.
