Please help. Driver seat making squeaking noise.
Hi everyone, when I turn on the car and the seat moves forward to my regular position, it makes a loud squeaking noise right before it stops. Anyone else experience this problem???

Before, I don't remember mind was making any loud noise, but recently I turn that function off because it isn't cool for the person behind. If it's squeaking then must be something wrong.
Could you try to manually move the seat around if it's making noise, or only only from auto mode.

Manual mode
Hi, thanks for the reply. I tried manual mode and it makes the same noise. It doesn't make any sound when moving forward but right before it stops, it makes a screeching noise. So weird. I only have 39k miles on it. 2014 GS 350 F Sport.

I noticed mine makes a squeaking noise whenever I push too much force against the direction my seats are moving. For example, once I start the car and continually lean too much force against the brake pedal (pushing my back against the seat) the seat will start squeaking as its trying to move forward. Letting a little force off a bit will make the squeak go away (as I assume its too much for the motor handle) as the seats continuously moves to forward to the driving position. Do you notice the squeaking even when you're not sitting in it?

Squeaky driver's seat
Mine has been making the same noise for a few months and it's getting really annoying. It's a 2007 and the extended warranty I purchased expired a few months ago. I just got some coupons in the mail from the dealer and one of them is for a free inspection 😃👍🏼. I will come back and post any new information.

Yes mine is making the same metallic noise too. Ironically it never done it but now that it’s over 100 degrees outside it started to do it not sure if there’s a solution for it.

Without actually inspecting it first hand, I can think of a couple possible scenarios.
- Plastic/metal expands when hot, shrinks when cold. Tight tolerances might be enough to make it squeak.
- Potential debris stuck between the rails.
- Try cleaning the rails and under the seat and apply grease (e.g., copper, silicone, etc.).

mine just did this too for the first time, the squeak was really loud and obnoxious. Wtf. My interior was really hot, but I’ve never experienced this before with other hot days. And I just did some experimenting and only does it when I’m sitting

Anyway, I turned the nut one way with a little wrench, no change. Then I rotated it the other way, just a smidge and it solves the problem. Not sure why, but no more noisy seat adjustments!
It’s about 15 degrees here so…not a hot weather issue for me.
It was fine when I got into the car this morning. Drove to the store and when I turned off the car, and easy exit started, I heard it for the first time. It was soooo loud, I even looked at the lady parked next to me like, is that your car or mine? I was so lost. Same thing happened on my way home when entering and exiting the car.
Then I read this thread and another thread referencing a loud “waaaaa” noise when seat adjust. I fixed it within about 3 minutes 😁🙌🏼
Thanks all for having this discussion. I hope my experience helps someone else moving forward.

I just found this, my front seat was making the Waaaaa Waaaa noise too. I read the above comments and took a look at the track and little motor thing under the front left corner of the seat. When I raised the seat completely and moved completely forward, I could access this little nut that spins. It only spins when moving seat front and back, not raise and lowering.
Anyway, I turned the nut one way with a little wrench, no change. Then I rotated it the other way, just a smidge and it solves the problem. Not sure why, but no more noisy seat adjustments!
