I'm just hoping those that move here don't try to change Texas into what they moved away from...

I would help, but my hands are full - we've got a gazillion people moving to Texas. It's unbelievable how many out-of-state license plates are seen in the DFW Metroplex area...with a large percentage of them from California.

Oh yeah, the new Toyota Headquarters here in Plano is open. Many people from California transferred here...
Amazon is thinking about building a $5 Billion headquarters [possibly] here creating 50,000 local jobs. Hoping that doesn't happen...

Listen over here in Massachusetts sales tax is 6.25% so I payed that when I bought 2016 GS back in June of this year. On top of that we get hit with a yearly excise tax, it's based on the year of the car and the amount you paid, it does however go down over time but it sucks.

Gas mileage sounds right....
Speaking of Property Tax. I moved from VA and was still getting charged for it. I disputed it with their team, and they made an error of crediting me entire year vs part of the year. I hope they don't come knocking on my door later lol.
I plan in registering my cars now in SC most likely.

SF Bay area garbage traffic checking in
2014 RWD Fsport driving 100 percent in normal mode.
18mpg with traffic, 20mpg at best with little to no traffic on the freeways. Not sure how folks get 24+mpg on these things

The only way I've ever broken 24MPG (admittedly, with an AWD model 2015 F-sport) is if I'm doing strictly highway for more than an hour with little variance or interruption... if you're locked in cruising for a long period of time, the mileage will go up.
"Reality" though for me is like 20-22 mpg avg most of the time going between ECO and Normal mode. ECO throttle response sucks but its perfect for city stop and go BS driving where you just want to get the car moving without applying much fuel...
I haven't reset the "total average" since I got the car and I think its right at like 20.7, and that's with over 10,000 miles put on it at this point.

My 2016 GS 200t's best on a 500 mile trip was 34.4 mpg in the middle of November in TX (i.e. minimal A/C). In everyday 50/50 city/hwy driving in 90/10 Eco/Sport mode, I get around 30-31 mpg. All mpg numbers are according to the trip computer which I think is a little bit optimistic.
