Default Aftermarket Exhausts

I've been looking around at getting a louder exhaust for my gs. I'm just not sure what to go for. I was thinking invidia mid pipe and cat back but I'm not sure if that would be too loud. What do you guys have for exhausts and what would provide a louder sound while still being good for a daily driver.

Search older threads as there is a lot of information about members' experiences with exhausts. Exhaust sound is a highly personal preference, so check out the Youtube clips for JoeZ, Invidia, Tanabe, Apexi. The Apexi axle-back was too aggressive for me so I swapped it out for the Tanabe. I'm not completely happy with the mild sound, but satisfied enough. I might consider a mid-pipe at some point.

I think there's nothing worse than an exhaust that DRONES ... that loud irritating, resonating, humming noise that can make an expensive luxury car sound like a beat-up, ten year-old Honda Civic driven by a pimple-faced 16 year-old.

Invidia is a great exhaust!

You can start with the axle back or midpipe and then add the other piece when the time is right.

Default Tanabe

I have had the Tanabe for about a year now and maybe my hearing is better or they are getting a little louder which is great.

I've only had mine a couple weeks and I notice it getting pleasantly louder.

I agree with bclexus.

I have the Invidia axleback and it drones. If you were local, I would trade you my Invidia for your stock mufflers.
I've heard people on here complain about the drone on the JoeZ catback.

It's all what you're looking for. No one can tell you want or what you should get. When i looked for exhaust I just looked on YouTube for ideas. Even though the videos didn't help a 100% I knew a axleback wasn't for me. I wanted more so I picked up the Joe Z exhaust. I love the exhaust note. There is some drone at cruising speeds(35-50) with slight acceleration to maintain the speed. I think it's the lag from being in a higher gear at slow speeds. Is not a deal breaker for me...

Is this your daily driver? Is the sound bearable as you're cruising?

I ordered the Joe Z catback from Luis at Carson Toyota, it's been about a month and a half and I still haven't got it! Every day I wait for the email that says 'ready for pickup'.

I decided on the catback due to Youtube videos that showed the comparison between stock, axleback, and catback. The axleback didn't make much difference to warrant an upgrade from stock, but the catback was night and day! That was what ultimately sold me.
