I really wanted a 8 speed RWD but in this part of the country where I live it's nearly impossible to get one unless you import it from
somewhere else. I don't regret the 6 at all in the 2015 F-sport AWD I got. That stupid hump took a little bit getting used to... lol.

The 8-speed transmission tends to 'hunt' for gears much more often than the 6-speed transmission that is in the 2013 and AWD GS 350 models. A combination of the transmission's [normal] operation plus some [normal] throttle can make the transmission downshift and/or upshift strangely, which makes it feel like the transmission can't decide which one of two gears it should be in. This oftentimes gives the driver and/or passengers an undesirable sensation when the engine RPM oddly changes and the car lurches a bit as the transmission undecidedly 'hunts' between two gears for the right one.

^ Agree with that. I have an 8 speed in my K900 and, although it gets great gas mileage for a 420hp V8, it lurches in the downshifts when coming to a stop. Almost like its a sequential transmission from ol racing days lol

2014 F-sport is what I fell in love with and ultimately purchased. The 8 speed transmission was definitely a deciding factor, along with the power folding mirrors.
