Default Lots of vibration at idle while in gear

My 2013 GS350 F Sport rwd has a very rough idle while sitting at a stop light. Enough for it to cause loose items in the cup holders to make an audible vibration. I'm at 43k miles. I suspect it might be the motor and or transmission mount(s) causing the issue because if I shift into Neutral the vibration goes away. Has anyone else had a similar problem? The vibration can also be felt in the steering wheel. I think its odd for a mount to go bad at such low age/mileage. I am the second owner of the car, and it was a previous lease vehicle from Houston, Tx so no road salt corrosion.

I did talk about it a little here.
Best you take your GS to Lexus to have it checked out, and let us know what they can do about it.

I have never noticed any idling that seemed abnormal with my car. Only thing I've ever noticed, if I remember correctly, is that sometimes it would idle at what seemed like a significantly higher RPM if the engine is very cold (think winter time). Winter is just about here, so I'm sure I will find out soon if I am remembering that correctly or not.

Edit: 2013 GS350, non F-Sport, AWD, 80k miles

Every lexus I've ever owned has done the same thing in cold weather, I don't think it's a problem.

Yep, you're right. I know it's not a problem, just something I have noticed that I thought was worth mentioning.

What were the RPMs? All Toyota/Lexus vehicles idle at 1,000 RPMs on a cold day until the engine heats up enough. Then they will drop back down to 600. Sounds normal to me, unless it was 90 degrees outside during this rough idling.

I live in South Texas and its been in the upper 80s and 90s lately lol we really don't have a winter season down here. A possibly related issue that I've noticed as well is that the revs dip unusually low around 500RPM and then back up again when slowing to a complete stop from an around town speed of say 40mph and then stopping at a light. I think the car idles way too rough for one with low miles. Also, the initially mentioned issue that I'm asking about is at normal operating temp, not during the warm up process. What I cannot remember is if I had this issue before or after I installed my AFE intake. Its never thrown a check engine light and the install went without a hitch. I was extra careful about keeping the MAF free from contamination during the install.

Today was the coldest day so far this fall/winter in Pittsburgh. About 38 degrees this morning, I think. I did notice my idle was round 1k when I started the vehicle, higher than a warm day (as JTrue28 mentioned). The vehicle has always shifted noticeably better once it's at operating temp. Never noticed any abnormal RPM drops on my car. Never had what I consider a rough idle on my GS, so not sure if I can help much more. Sorry. Used to drive a BMW that had rough idle and weird RPM problems, MAF sensor and one other part that I can't remember were the culprit. Can't remember if it was throwing codes or not, I don't think it was. Might be worth looking into the MAF sensor. Also, is it hard to go back to stock intake and see if the problem persists?

Yeah, I would try going back to stock intake first.

Setting your car to ECO mode will bring the idle back to normal when the engine is cold. You can switch back to normal or Sport/Sport+ once the engine is fully warmed up.

Works on my 2013 GS F Sport AWD
