Default Parking Sensor Issue

My car developed an issue with one or two (probably one) of the parking sensors recently. The parking sensors will sometimes indicate that there is an object in front of me when there is no object in front of me. It shows up in the center of the front bumper on the graphic display, so I assume it is one or both of the two sensors in the front center of the bumper (below the grille). Has anyone run into this? Is there some method to reset the parking sensors that I could try? One thing that I have noticed is that the issue seems to happen on hot days, but not really on cooler days. Right now I run the car with the sensors disabled, not a big deal, but it would be nice to fix it so I could use them again. When the sensor(s) are not malfunctioning, the parking sensor system works as normal. Now that I think about it, I have not closely inspected the sensors for damage... but I wash it rather regularly, so I know they should be relatively clean, and if there was any major damage to them I would have noticed. 2013 GS, for reference. Thanks in advance.

Had same issue with front sensor but fortunately I was still under warranty and had it replaced. Fairly expensive out of warranty. No visible evidence of damage.

Interesting. I just looked on House of Lexus and it looks like the parking sensor isn't available. Not sure if it's just out of stock or you can't buy that part for some reason. I'm out of warranty, so if I can't get it to work myself, I'll live without it. Not paying big bucks to get that feature back.

Often those sensors get hit by rocks, sometimes it visible, sometimes not. There isn't a calibration or reset for them. If you take a close look at them you might see a little tiny indent in one of them. They should be perfectly smooth.

I think replacement requires dropping of bumper also.

Thanks for the info, I will inspect more closely for any tiny chips. I have a 2013 GS. You know, the ones with the big ugly sensors that they fixed in the next model year. If it requires dropping the bumper I'll probably just forget about it and not use them. Got better things to do with my time and money.
