Thanks Masks for this thread. I was thinking about picking up one of the last GS350's of 2020. The steering issue is scary and definitely unacceptable. I will have to keep watching out of this issue as I really want this 4GS. I'm glad my "old 2GS" has hydraulic steering. haha

It has happened in my 2015 GS350, non-F sport, no LKA many, many times too. I'm the original owner too. So random though, and never could get it reproduced by the dealer, but this issue has only happened on the expressway after the car has been sitting in the sun at work all day. Since covid started in March, I've never experienced it because the car is parked in my garage and only locally driven.
I filed a complaint with NHTSA about it, and would suggest everyone do it who experiences the issue. The more people who do that, then they'll open an investigation. I hope this isn't another Takada type issue where multiple manufacturers use the same parts.
