Default Factory Warranty Question-likely stupid

So silly factory warrant question which I think I know the answer to, but just want to confirm. I have a 2014 Gs F sport with 42,XXX miles on it. I understand the factory warranty is 50,000/4 years which ever comes first.
In regards to the time base, does this mean that the warrant would expire on 1/1/18, or 1/1/19?

As mentioned above it is based on the date of sale aka "in service " date (could be the date it was first used as a demo or exec vehicle not sale date to you). If you didn't buy it new but have serviced your car at Lexus dealer go find an old service ticket and look a couple lines below your owner information the is a block for "Del date" that should show the in service date or go the the dealer service dept and ask. You can check the build date on the door tag to get a ball park date (can't be before that date). Theoretically on a 2014 model the in service date may have passed since the car could have been purchased fall of 2013.

Thanks a ton. Looks like the first documented service date through the lexus owners portal is around March of 2014 (it was bought used so I don't have the full service history). This appears to be the pre-delivery inspection. The next 5,000 mile maintenance was done in August of 14. Guessing it was sold shortly after March if not in March which would put me at circa 3/2018 for warrant expiration.

Thanks for the reply!

I don't believe non-consumer usage counts against 1st consumer warranty period. This may vary state to state thou.

If you are aware of a specific state that makes that distinction it would be great if you would share it. Most states only have variances in laws about implied warranties. Although it was quite a while ago I spent a number of years in the car business and at the time there was no such rule.
The Lexus warranty manual states their position clearly:
