No, It clearly shows it to be visible from the driver seat. I had to crawl under the dash with a flashlight and glasses, After I started the car, I had trouble locating it again, I had to keep my hand on it to not lose touch of it again, it is really under there. Those posted photos did the trick for me. I am so glad I came here for a solution, and someone cared enough to show me a photo. Everytime the temperature changes (winter, summer) the light goes on. I air up the tires to specs, and now I can feel confident if the light goes on, there may be a real problem. Also nice to use the mode button again. I am not considering trading either Lexus in for a Ford, the second Lexus (GS) will soon be paid off and it is nice knowing what I have.

The manual clearly shows it behind the steering wheel. It's not implying in any way that the steering wheel is transparent on the bottom such that you can see the switch.

lol, funny. of course when winter time ur tire pressure gonna drop. and when u drive a bit ur tire pressure go up. then next morning it goes back down again. how about u air up to the factory spec in the morning before driving the car so ur light wont go on and off.
